Dh took youngest on a ride yesterday afternoon. He said all the restaurants they passed were closed but the McDonald’s. Sheetz was open too. We have mostly chains here. I was surprised they were closed.Thanksgiving has turned out to be a very big day for many restaurants. Where we went yesterday (with hubs and sister), there was a steady stream of patrons. Then, what somewhat surprised me, were the number of people who kept coming in to the front reception area, to pick up their (pre-ordered, via phone) full turkey dinners in the "to go" food boxes. That restaurant was a goldmine yesterday!

My goodness, Sting must be close to 100 by now. Is he holding up alright? I have never had a strong fan desire for any individual that feels that they are so great they only need to use one name for identification. Even in the near naked days of Cher!I missed it. She's one of the few who doesn't. She's happily divorced after being married too young, so she never says a word.
It's usually grandma. She was trying to set me up with a guy. But then he came out as gay two weeks ago, so she stopped with that one...

I can't remember which song he sang, just that his big solo time wasn't a holiday song. To be honest most of his songs sound the same to me.

I've done that before... one year we ordered our turkey dinner from Cracker Barrel. It was yummy.
Just finished watchin’ “Gambit” from 1966 starrin’ Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine on AMC...such a hoot...!!!!!!!

We watched it a few nights ago, we waited until the tree was up. I liked it too, it was cute. My husband was a little disappointed that Anna Kendrick didn't sing more than a couple notes.

I loved it. To me, how great the food turned out meant a lot. If I did not do the mashing the sweet potatoes as good as I did, it would've hurt the quality of the Sweet potato casserole with marshmallows.
I helped my dad for thanksgiving in the past and I would do it every time he asks to me since I love helping. My dad also is a great cook and he was by his grandma aka my grandfather's own mom. I was told my great grandma was a great cook and was much better than her daughter-in-law (my late grandma) was.
My dad likes my younger brother and I to help in the kitchen for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My younger brother is off for Christmas I figure he'll be helping with Christmas dinner. My younger brother works at a hospital and their policy has him work 1 out of every 2 holidays the Hospital recognized unless my younger brother switches with another employee. He is off for Christmas and is very likely he will be helping my dad.

This morning wasn't as bad as expected, most of the stores were empty except Target and even that wasn't horrible. I couldn't tell you much about the mall but the parking lot was packed but we lucked out and got a close parking space and even my dh didn't complain about the line at Ulta which moved quickly, every cash register was open
Long story short I'm slightly ahead of schedule, YEA! My oven is full with pumpkin cheesecakes(donned the hazmat gear lol) and apple crumbs and the veggies are on the stove for stuffed mushrooms. I'm hoping to watch the Mandalorian tonight, keeping my fingers crossed the boys get their chores done!
