Our Simon Malls are doing very well, the smaller non-Simon not so good. Simon in this area has built in recent years 2 giant outdoor outlet type malls that have each expanded 3 times with new wings.

The biggest Simmons mall is mostly retail, some expanded dining including a food court now @ajrwdwgirl including a Blaze Pizza and Stan's Doughnut. Slurp. Now they also have a PacMan entertainment area including bowling, game area and other entertainments and a Brick engagement arena that has everything from Lego's to Connects. This week enter Uniqlo, can't wait to see if they also carry some Disney Stuff like Springs. There is also a Box Lunch where I buy most of my Disney clothing from. But I worry about a few of the anchors from Macy's, JCP, Sears (you can tell that one is going) and I just don't know about Lord and Taylor. Nordstroms does well. The theater moved out decades ago so I guess they could try that again. They have Kiosks in all the wings and they are doing well, even Amazon has one for the various Alexis products.

@donaldtoo -- so you did have multiple birthday cakes after all!! :joyfull:

The office family fun day had some good-looking food. :hungry: I just loves me a buffet!

And as for the baby, even a week later, her facial features are already getting more pronounced. Amazing. :inlove:

Yes!!! And, I’m still stuffed from all that cake...!!!!! :in pain: :hilarious: ;)

The food and the fun were great at the office gathering, but, we kinda’ had to hold back a bit ‘cause, as y’all saw, we were eatin’ again just a few hours later at mom and pops...!!!!!:hungry: :hilarious:

And yes, she has indeed acquired more pronounced features and “character” ;) over the past coupla’ weeks since her birth!!! :)
It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a tiny, precious ;), baby around, so some of those memories fade a bit, until you’re close to it all again, and then those memories come flooding back...such a very special time for all of our family...!!!!!!! :inlove:

I wasn’t able to take the country backroad portion of my commute to or from work last Monday because of the flooding. It was clear enough to take Tuesday morning, and the rest of the week, and today both ways.
Last Tuesday, on my way in, I noticed a car in the creek (I’ve seen the aftermath of at least 40 cars having gone into the creek at this low water crossing over the years...it has a sharp turn both going into and coming out of it). The car stayed there all last week, and was still there again on my way in this morning.
I’ve never seen anything like it before...they usually have them out within’ an hour or so. And, yep, it was still there on my way home this evenin’...WTH?!?!?! :cyclops:

Probably a hard reminder? Or were told to leave it there by authorities and insurance?

I love the modern farmhouse look. Do a lot of homes now have the metal roofs? I do see some people around here changing their regular shingles with metal. Do you know what the advantages are?

The modern farmhouse look is very popular around here right now, with many varying degrees, from very close to traditional to very much more modern interpretations.
As far as the standing seam metal roofing goes, there are two main advantages (both being pretty much the same)...toughness and longevity. Potential disadvantage, cost.
Folks just need to weigh their wants/needs.
And, of course, the look also comes into play...standing seam roofing can take on a very traditional look, and on a more modern edifice, turn right around and take on a more modern look. We have tons of such, and everything in between, in our portfolio.
And, of course, their are definitely certain architectural styles it just doesn’t fit properly with.
Also, almost every single subdivision I can think of around her does not permit any kind of reflective metal roofing. It must be muted/painted.

And, that has been our architectural minute for today...!!!!! :hilarious: ;) :)

Went downstairs to see what hubs was cursing about -- it was a fly he was trying to swat, and he is convinced the fly has Zika and is going to kill us. Even the dog came upstairs to escape the drama.

Flies carry Zika? I thought it was mosquitoes? and well couples infected 'sharing' it with each other. Hi Jack! Smart dog!

Yikes! 40 times that you saw? Sounds as if a guard rail is in order. Stay safe my friend
