Thanks! It was a major compromise. He’s been begging for a buzz. I refuse to let it happen, he’s also been begging for a “CR7” shaved into the side of his head.. I did concede to this- AFTER school is out, they aren’t allowed to do that during the school year.

He’s had this same haircut as the pic at age 4 and 5..but with a “0 guard”. We compromised on a “1”, I wanted a 2, at least for First Communion. BUT, he promised me that he will wear it in a pompadour for first communion.. so, I agreed.

So much hair drama with me and a newly 8 year old. 😂
My brother got a buzz cut one year. We loved it on him. He hated it. He's never had another one since. Maybe he just hated that I kept touching his hair. :hilarious:

I never did anything too wild with my hair, but my mom always had the mentality of "It's just hair." With both of us. My brother isn't allowed to grow his too long, but that's the only real restriction they've put on us. Not that he's ever wanted long hair any more than I've wanted to dye my hair or cut it weird.

T goes back and forth between wanting the top of his hair long enough for a man bun and wanting a buzz. The only reason that I won’t allow a buzz cut is because of his cowlick. It is so difficult to grow out, and nothing keeps it down. If I thought that he would just keep getting it shaved, then I’d be onboard., but, he just wants to “try it once”. At this point it’s not worth the headache. Once he’s a tween or teen, then he can deal with the regrowth if he wants a buzz at that time.

His cowlick is baddddd.. total hair swirl at the crown of his head., it sticks straight up until it’s almost two inches long and has the weight to be wet, then product applied, then blow dried to keep it down. He’s pretty good about styling his hair on his own in the mornings, but there’s many days where I have to do the cowlick when it’s shorter.. I can’t deal with that every morning for 4-5 months. I’ve already put in that time during years 1 to 7. ;)

Hmph. People.

A user requests a software as part of her PC refresh. I email her and tell her that we require users to upgrade to the latest version, which requires a purchase (they'd use a company card).

She then emails the guy who built her PC, who can't install anything without a say so from someone on my team, usually me, and says, "Why do I need to do this?" Um...I just told you that. Why are you going back to him? He has no say in this whatsoever.

People.

The saga continues. The woman's boss emails the build team guy about how "it's not something that's nice to have; it's a requirement for her job." My jaw was on the floor with that one. Again, you're emailing the person who has nothing to do with it and getting snarky with him. He politely responded to her...and them came over to my desk and said, "I'm here to commiserate." 😂

One of the managers on my former team used to like picking on me about my love of Disney, particularly IaSW. He told me he went on it 30 years ago and has never been the same since. Which then prompted me to email him a picture of IaSW when I was in WDW.

Today, he IMs me wondering where my boss is. I IM him back, "Oh she went to ride IaSW." :hilarious: He didn't think I was serious at first.

Your Job needs to be made into a TV series.

Why are they confused on who does what and what responsibility is of each department?

Theres so much weird stuff and facepalming stuff coming from your coworkers o_O
