Thought I would share some pictures of my color in my yard. View attachment 280532View attachment 280533View attachment 280534

All those are very purty! :joyfull: (P.S.: C'mon now, you took those at a lovely arboretum, didn't you? Nobody's yard could look that professional. ;) )

By the way, there is a yard behind where we live. We have 2 barrels out there, and one has fallen over on its side. We could put the barrel upright, but we haven't just yet . . . for about 5 weeks now. :hilarious:

I've heard the opposite during the QS shops during the food and wine festival. The huge prices for tiny servings was shocking.

Never been to F&W, but I'm sure they have the same kiosk set-ups as during Flower & Garden. The kiosks are a bit pricey, but Figgy was referring more to the actual QS restaurants (Sunshine Seasons in particular) throughout EPCOT. You get more food for your money at those.

My 2nd cataract surgery, on my left eye, has been postponed once again. I finally made it back to the eye doctor today, and he is super concerned about the blurry vision I have been experiencing lately in my right eye. The right eye was operated on back in October, and the cataract was removed. So I need to return to him in two weeks, and he is going to do a laser treatment that should remove the cloudiness/blurriness that has recently affected my right eye. I knew something was up when I went to the retina surgeon last week, and he said my vision was not improving as it should have been. Technically, I see two eye doctors, because I have two different eye problems. These doctors just happen to be father and son, so they consult each other, and work together for their patients. I agreed to cataract surgery to avoid having retina surgery, but now I just might have to have both, even after this laser treatment. I'm not so stressed out, because this whole process has accustomed me to what to expect, and I am not as nervous as I was at first.

Oh, this must be frustrating for you. The one positive from what you wrote is that both eye doctors are related and can work together as a team on your eye problems. Communication between physicians is critical, so maybe you can take a little comfort in that. I hope your situation smooths out in due course.

I started a Disney Magic Kingdom entrance loop last night, but it's not what I was thinking of. Do you know what loop they play by the docks between MK and Poly, Wilderness, and GF? I remember waiting for a boat for something at MK and they had on a loop, and I thought that it had text with it and that's what I'm looking for, but maybe I am wrong....I remember singing to it, but maybe I was just singing the things I knew and it really didn't have the text? I wanted to refresh my memory of some of the older songs.

I don't know what the loops by the boat docks would be. Perhaps if you search wdw boat dock loops on youtube it might pop up.

We’re actually doing something really neat for Teachers Appreciation Week this year.. my favorite of the past few years anyway.

We’re buying large beach bags for each.. then stuffing them with summer “must haves” - magazines, lotions, Graeters (an ice cream shop) gift cards, beach towel, picnic supplies, baked goods, etc etc. We’re also making lunch every day that week.
Definitely a group effort. The PTA sent out a signup genius page and most parents contributed a few things, some several. I hope the teachers enjoy the gifts and the week! They definitely deserve it!

I think it’s always so tough to figure out teachers gifts for holidays/appreciation/end of year before summer break. I’m always worried that a gift will get banished to a junk pile or that we’ve given something that everyone else has already given..lol. I’m sure you two have encountered that a lot over the years. Teachers should send out a “wish list for gifts” with their introduction emails before school starts every year ;). Help us parents out!

Maybe stores should start providing a teachers registry service...!!!!! :hilarious: ;)

The night concert was a success. The parents were thrilled. Tomorrow I drop my daughter at her high school and off she goes on the "band trip" to Williamsburg VA. She'll not be back 'til 11PM on Sunday. We've only had her away from us for a church youth group over nighter. This one is gonna feel weird....longer than we're used to.

:cry:After a series of MRIs and blood work and wicked bad pain for the past few months it has finally been determined I have a tear in my hip joint. This past week has been so bad, I've been almost confined to a chair and sleeping because it hurts to lay down for long. Steps are almost a no go. :grumpy:

Oh my! Major sympathy like.
Hope a plan is in process to fix this so it stays fixed, and never bothers you again.
Prayers that you are well soon...!!!
