Oh, this must be frustrating for you. The one positive from what you wrote is that both eye doctors are related and can work together as a team on your eye problems. Communication between physicians is critical, so maybe you can take a little comfort in that. I hope your situation smooths out in due course.

I remember when my husband first insisted that I get my eyes checked at an ophthalmologist. I figured that I would humor him. The doctors would not find anything, and I could go along my merry way with just a vision test every few years. Well that didn't happen. Instead, I had issues. My husband is blind in one eye, and he says the most important thing is to take care of your eyes. He won't go to a medical doctor for every day aches, and pains, but he never misses an eye appointment. I hated the eye drops, and the dilation at first, but now I am getting used to that. Most of my eye issues are age related, but if I went blind, you might as well just shoot me. I don't think I could stand that. I could have worse problems, so I have learned through this process that a small bit of discomfort is worth the price.

We also didn’t wear bike helmets or sit in car seats and boosters til age 8.. so some things have improved ;)

My siblings and I crack up at old photos- us in the back of a station wagon, very young- no car seats.. blankets laid out to sleep. Amazing that we all survived childhood ;)

My kid was in a 5 Point all the way thru kindergarten.lol... and he’s still in a booster. Although he’s begging to get out of it.. I’m waiting a bit longer..

The night concert was a success. The parents were thrilled. Tomorrow I drop my daughter at her high school and off she goes on the "band trip" to Williamsburg VA. She'll not be back 'til 11PM on Sunday. We've only had her away from us for a church youth group over nighter. This one is gonna feel weird....longer than we're used to.

She'll have a great time, and it will also be a good learning experience for her. I understand it must be hard for you to let her go, even for a few days. But when she returns home and shares her fun trip stories with you, you'll also be happy you let her go. :)

Your husband has good advice for everyone. We all need to protect our eyesight.

Thank you friend. I'm sure that we'll be happy to hear the fun stories. For me it will be weird to wake up on Fri., Sat. and Sun mornings and she'll be away. For my wife it might be more than weird. It'll be a BIT sad or lonely. Yet it is good in a way. This sophomore girl will mature eventually to become a college freshman....it's over 2 years from now....but it's coming closer every day. We'll eventually face more than 4 days without her. So.... Enjoy every moment 'til then...right?

Never been to F&W, but I'm sure they have the same kiosk set-ups as during Flower & Garden. The kiosks are a bit pricey, but Figgy was referring more to the actual QS restaurants (Sunshine Seasons in particular) throughout EPCOT. You get more food for your money at those.
Yes ^^^this. There are several excellent qs locations and snack options that will be way cheaper than ts even leaving you money for snacking

My 2nd cataract surgery, on my left eye, has been postponed once again. I finally made it back to the eye doctor today, and he is super concerned about the blurry vision I have been experiencing lately in my right eye. The right eye was operated on back in October, and the cataract was removed. So I need to return to him in two weeks, and he is going to do a laser treatment that should remove the cloudiness/blurriness that has recently affected my right eye. I knew something was up when I went to the retina surgeon last week, and he said my vision was not improving as it should have been. Technically, I see two eye doctors, because I have two different eye problems. These doctors just happen to be father and son, so they consult each other, and work together for their patients. I agreed to cataract surgery to avoid having retina surgery, but now I just might have to have both, even after this laser treatment. I'm not so stressed out, because this whole process has accustomed me to what to expect, and I am not as nervous as I was at first.
I think @MinnieM123 offered some excellent advice. Prayers and pixie dust

Somehow I'm the only one here in my general area. My boss is in WDW, and the three women who work in my general vicinity are not here either (one told me she was in training, not sure what happened to the other two).

So do I turn the lights on? Of course not. And it's glorious.

I'm very strange. :cyclops:

I'm like that too. In the mornings if I'm the first one in, I walk very very very slowly so I don't trip the motion detectors and the lights stay off, LOL

Hmph. People.

A user requests a software as part of her PC refresh. I email her and tell her that we require users to upgrade to the latest version, which requires a purchase (they'd use a company card).

She then emails the guy who built her PC, who can't install anything without a say so from someone on my team, usually me, and says, "Why do I need to do this?" Um...I just told you that. Why are you going back to him? He has no say in this whatsoever.

People.

T looks very handsome with his new haircut.

Thanks! It was a major compromise. He’s been begging for a buzz. I refuse to let it happen, he’s also been begging for a “CR7” shaved into the side of his head.. I did concede to this- AFTER school is out, they aren’t allowed to do that during the school year.

He’s had this same haircut as the pic at age 4 and 5..but with a “0 guard”. We compromised on a “1”, I wanted a 2, at least for First Communion. BUT, he promised me that he will wear it in a pompadour for first communion.. so, I agreed.

So much hair drama with me and a newly 8 year old. 😂
