Oh, this must be frustrating for you. The one positive from what you wrote is that both eye doctors are related and can work together as a team on your eye problems. Communication between physicians is critical, so maybe you can take a little comfort in that. I hope your situation smooths out in due course.
I remember when my husband first insisted that I get my eyes checked at an ophthalmologist. I figured that I would humor him. The doctors would not find anything, and I could go along my merry way with just a vision test every few years. Well that didn't happen. Instead, I had issues. My husband is blind in one eye, and he says the most important thing is to take care of your eyes. He won't go to a medical doctor for every day aches, and pains, but he never misses an eye appointment. I hated the eye drops, and the dilation at first, but now I am getting used to that. Most of my eye issues are age related, but if I went blind, you might as well just shoot me. I don't think I could stand that. I could have worse problems, so I have learned through this process that a small bit of discomfort is worth the price.
