Nope, you inserted yourself and I responded. I did not "attack" or "cyber bully" anyone, and to suggest so is ridiculous. If you don't want to be part pelf it...steer clear, as I do in the vast majority of posts I disagree with, or subjects I just don't want to get involved in around here. I always want to play nice, but, certain members always want to take it to a level that it doesn't need to go to, and some of us can only take so much before we finally just feel the need to react. The passive-aggressive attacks are actually the real cyber bullying. Sanctimonious, passive-aggressive, thinly-veiled crap.
And, I'm not apologizing for my opinion on any of that!
Have a nice day...!!!
Winner winner, steak dinner.

He’s not even the tallest in his class.. definitely on the taller side, but one of his friends is 5 inches taller than T.lol

T is really into the “Goosebumps” books right now, do you remember those?

Even if he’s not choosing Goosebumps, he’s picking something with ghosts or mystery.. he recently read a book called “Zombies in New Orleans” (I think that’s the correct title). A class went to NOLA.. learned about Hurricane Katrina, visited the French Quarter etc.. and solved a mystery. Anyway, since then he keeps asking to look up stuff about New Orleans, the hurricane rebuilding, and the food.. he’d like to visit. The NCL Breakaway leaves out of NO in November.. thought it might be better to switch our Southern (on a small ship) to NOLA and a big ship.

I haven’t been there in over 15 years..and never during the Christmas season. I can’t find a solid date of when all the decorations go up.

I'm heading to NOLA in a couple of weeks! My nephew will be there with us (he's 9 now) so I'll try to pay attention to the things that really light him up while we're there, for you!

When my kids were little we frequented the Country Bears. They liked it then. We will dodge the rain, we will go when the parks are overwhelmingly crowded and hot. It is old school Disney and who doesn't love those? And given there is rarely a wait it is a quick in and out and Disney edited the show to make it shorter so people would stop walking out during it. Disney has the same problem with guests walking out of the CoP that I love but if you don't get the nostalgia or how the attraction actually operates when an exit door operates, escaping is a problem unlike the attraction at AK Bugs or Muppets at the Studios where guests bail all the time.
I love CoP, but Country Bears is just not my thing. We did it last trip for the nostalgia....I hadn't seen it since I was a kid and I thought maybe I hadn't remembered it from my childhood. I didn't really like it then, but thought maybe I would have a new appreciation for it as an adult. Nope. Tiki is another one I'm not fond of. But I think that's the beauty of Disney....if you don't like one thing, there are plenty of others. I LOVE the Philharmagic...so cute. Bugs at AK terrified DS, I fell asleep during FotLK (That MAY have just been that I was SOOOOO tired that day from getting up early to do laundry before the rest of the family got up), but we all LOVED Nemo. I think Disney learned though, that with some of those longer attractions or shows, people will need an exit. There will be potty emergencies, or scared kiddos, and they have learned to make a convenient exit place for those incidents, so the newer ones have that where the older ones don't.

I will error in favor of your expertise. I'm only going by what my son is telling me and the aquatics centers I've been in. I am far from the expert in HVAC.
I'll have to ask DH. He's an engineer, working for a company that consults about what kind of HVAC systems are needed for a particular building. We go on vacation and he's analyzing the duct work in restaurants, etc. He finds it fascinating.

About 2 pages behind here, but I gotta run--and find any bus that I can this morning to get to work! Shovelled the front steps again at 4:00 this morning----maybe another 3-4 inches of snow overnight. Think my area got 18 inches, but with the drifts I've shovelled over 2 feet in places (yesterday).

Catch up with you all later! I'm off to find my buddy, Olaf . . . :joyfull::joyfull:
FIND, or BUILD your buddy Olaf? I have to say, as much as I love the snow, I hate the cold cold, and I'm really looking forward to Spring this year. It's BEAUTIFUL today..yesterday was rainy and yuck, today is chilly, but sunny....I'll take it!!

Before going into your first park your first stop should be guest services. Get the card(info on band). You may find you don't need it but a CM can't always do much unless the info is added
Already my plan...better to be safe than sorry. If we don't need it, great, but I'd rather have it just to be sure. Do I need any documentation of his Autism, or can I just go in, say he has autism and get the card?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that exactly what you got upset with Gabe for doing when you asked another member about the sports? In fact, I'm pretty sure that your words were something to the effect of "No one asked for your opinion". You didn't like that she responded to something you posted to someone else, (in a public thread, I might add) when she wasn't involved in that discussion. And now you are doing the EXACT same thing. And notice who HASN'T said anything in response to YOUR rant OR other members'? So who is it who is stirring the pot? I didn't take sides, just posted a reminder that we needed to be respectful of one another and play nice...I didn't get involved in the argument, but you couldn't let it calm down, you had to make sure everyone knows just how horrible of a person you think she is. And yes, it IS bullying. One person called her "dense", you said "That's just the kind of person you are" after making obvious little quips insulting her character. On a public forum, for everyone to see....embarrassing her publicly and trying to put people against her..that IS bullying.

Awesome, sounds like a fun trip!!
I would very much appreciate any recommendations! Thanks! :)
Congrats! and have fun

We're going for my mom's 60th birthday! But my girlfriends and I also got our own AirBnB because we wanted it to be a girls trip also. Best of both worlds! Fancy dinner to celebrate my mom, and raucous fun for the girls and I.

I've never been to New Orleans, so I'm really really looking forward to it!

Can everyone please walk away from the argument now? You're not going to get a gold star for winning an internet debate, anyhow. Un-ruffle your feathers, and let this one go, please.

Nope, again.
I simply and sincerely asked, with no judgement whatsoever, another member what her ultimate goals
were for her son being involved in a multitude of sports/activities to the point that it made her sad that she had signed him up and committed him and herself to so much. Gabe responded in a way that implied I had called into question her parenting or was implying she was a bad parent, which was the furthest thing from the truth. My question was sincere an inquiring.
Also, I have not responded to a whole lot of crap that Gabe has directed at me over the years, either, so she is not all pious in that way either.
And me stirring the pot and embarrassing (as she embarrasses herself enough as it is) her is a joke and a half...this has always been her way...she throws out snide little comments to stir things up, then sits back and "giggles" at the results. The ultimate ****stirrer.
And in your "calming" post, you were actually the one that called others here "sanctimonious". Is that not condescending name calling and cyber bullying...?!?!?!
