The stairs might might a bit extreme. I'm thinking "stomach flu".

My sister only lives 40 minutes away so we do see them a lot and one day at Christmas is enough. However my dad does live in Florida now...:geek:

I laughed at the last line, you can imagine how I have censored myself!:)
Yeah...stomach flu sounds good, but it IS hard to fake. Or would Brad not mind telling them you've got stomach flu to get out of it? Perhaps your dad could really want to have Christmas with you next year and you need to travel to Florida.
Oh I'm sure you've censored yourself greatly...I was just thinking of the pressure they are putting on Brad and I was going to make a comparison that would probably be considered inappropriate, involving the "If you really loved me..." line.

Last week we had snow that was PERFECT. Happened Friday night/ Saturday morning so no commute necessary, snowed enough for us to play in but didn't dip below 30* so it wasn't even that cold, and it was so pretty. The roads were already cleared when we woke up. I wish all snow could be like that. I LOVE snow, but hate driving in it.
Exactly! It's beautiful and as long as it's not particularly windy, it is nice to play in because it's not too cold. But when you have to go somewhere, it needs to be gone!

I agree. The best snow is the one Disney makes. Fake and no cold to go along with it.:p
I didn't know that Skyzone was in other parts of the world other than the US. My kids enjoy going to the one near us quite a bit.
You have Skyzone there? I thought it was only here in our town!! I wonder if it's the same thing. Going to have to google it. Here it's an indoor play gym with trampolines, a sort of elevated obstacle course, a climbing area, and then a soccer area. DD was jumping on one of the trampolines near the wall (the walls are padded) and her leg went through between 2 springs where the springs attach to the wall.

No, just comcerned as to why you think snow and ice is better than warm sun, beaches, pools, and hot summer. :p
Well, I can't say I like the heat any more than the cold, and I'm definitely not a beach bunny...but I don't actually like the cold. Snow, yes, as long as I don't have to go anywhere. But I would prefer snowy mountains to a sunny beach, so I can understand that part of it. But the bone-chilling temps and stinging sleet and such are for the birds!!

Not hard to fake just very unpleasant. Ex Lax and syrup of ipotac sp? Of my steps tried it once to get out of a test, notice I said once

Well if you are asking about people who work there, they will all speak English....but, how much can you hear/lip read? I know that the line for at least Symbolica was in both English and Dutch...they had these symbols on banners that you could try to decode and one side was English and the other side was Dutch. But I don't remember about the rides themselves...I think the ones that actually speak were in Dutch. But a lot of stuff doesn't speak or you would already know the story. If we go again, I'll pay better attention. Or we could ask @RedNoseMickey to pay attention at Christmas.
Definitively do not read lips in dutch ;)

Wait...you ordered it, it was sent, and now he wants you to send it back? Or he just wants you to send the box? I'm confused.
Apparently, this box is the version that I had canceled a few weeks ago.

to explain:

  • Purchased from him.
  • It started to take so long, he promised he would be in a week.
  • Didn't get in a week. Talk to him and apparently his distributor was taking way too much.
  • We agree that if after certain date X he didn't receive the package in his warehouse from the distributor. We would cancel.
  • We cancelled as it didn't go. Ordered from Amazon, Amazon went from "next day " to "available in 3 weeks".
  • Cancelled Amazon after a week of waiting (it now said January 20).
  • re-ordered from the same dude from the first purchase. He said he had the thing in stock and would take 5 days to ship.
  • Received it on the 5th day.
  • Apparently he was surprised I received something because he hadnt shipped my box.
  • I scanned all the tags, he now claims I have to send the box and its contents (the entire product) back.
  • I told him that no way in hell, I already have all my hardware installed in that box.
  • So I sent him a few suggestions to do so he doesnt get in any trouble and I keep this darn box!.
  • Aka send me an empty box with the "shipping label" and code that the mercadolibre (latinamerica version of ebay) asks him to use and I will declare it delivered once I get it. That way the site knows the product was "shipped" and "delivered". Even if I already have the product.
