I am so tired today. I always leave my phone on at night in case work needs me. I have email and most other things on silent and family and friends know not to WhatsApp between 10pm and 5.30am. This morning just after 3am my phone starts buzzing, I get up to check and it is my sister in law in Australia. She is so excited because she just finished her last day of work. I didn't have the heart to tell her she woke me up so we chatted for a bit about her upcoming flights and the trip etc.
Normally I would have cut it shorts to go back to sleep but today was my day off so I figured I could sleep in and take it easy today. Maybe even have a nap...
So I go back to bed at 5am only for my work to call me at 6am to ask me to come in.![]()
Sounds like they want the family together, but also want things their own way. Oh well. Too bad you'll have to be away from them. Darn...He actually has a knee scooter to get around. But I'm sure their thought process is that they want the family to be together and he should do whatever it takes to be with them because they are "wonderfull."Well the world doesn't revolve around them, it's about time they learn that.

It's Friday so I thought of this
I would like to try it once so I might make it at some point. I agree with you about milk just being milk except when it is Dutch chocolate milk.I think it is pretty disgusting. I don't really like drinking flavored creamy/milky drinks. Milk should just be milk flavored.
Me 3Cold for me too.![]()
12 days of Christmas church services that are mandatory for both of you.I will just put it nicely....hubs has some "interesting" sisters. Oh well, at least now I can enjoy this Christmas. We will go to my sister's for the day on Christmas day and then just relax. So now how do I get out of going next year.......![]()
Nope even Elsa thinks she's nuts.Haven't you figured out her secret identity yet... here's a clue... the cold never bothered her anyway!
Sympathy like and warm {{HUGS}}Sympathy like. It's snowing here toob which means I will have to clean off my car in the morning...unless maybe my dad takes pity on me and does it. I can dream, right?
Yes but did you bring the toilet paper, bic lighter, newspaper etc.?Oh my. I remember attending midnight showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show here at a long-since gone theater on Riverside Drive on the weekends...it was always a flippin' hoot...!!!!!!!![]()

Well if you are asking about people who work there, they will all speak English....but, how much can you hear/lip read? I know that the line for at least Symbolica was in both English and Dutch...they had these symbols on banners that you could try to decode and one side was English and the other side was Dutch. But I don't remember about the rides themselves...I think the ones that actually speak were in Dutch. But a lot of stuff doesn't speak or you would already know the story. If we go again, I'll pay better attention. Or we could ask @RedNoseMickey to pay attention at Christmas.Speaking of Efteling, do they speak english? or everything is in the native language?
I ask because who knows if someday I go to Europe and do a "tour".
Hrmmm....I'm thinking throwing yourself down the stairs to break your own ankle might be considered a bit extreme...we'll think on it. We have a whole year, right?I will just put it nicely....hubs has some "interesting" sisters. Oh well, at least now I can enjoy this Christmas. We will go to my sister's for the day on Christmas day and then just relax. So now how do I get out of going next year.......![]()

Your love of winter is very strange...have you considered getting professional help?

Sympathy like. DS forgot his gloves at home the other day so I ended up giving him mine for the bike ride home....thank goodness I had my Ravenclaw sweatshirt on...it has long sleeves that I can at least wrap around my hands, so they didn't get TOO bad.It is 17 degrees here right now and it snowed today. I had to shovel when I came home after work. I only had my thin little stretchy gloves in the car with me and I didn't want to get the dog riled up by going into the house to get my warm mittens. That was a mistake, by the time I was done I couldn't feel my fingers at all, as they warmed up they were tingling and "burning" like crazy. Winter =![]()

Wait...you ordered it, it was sent, and now he wants you to send it back? Or he just wants you to send the box? I'm confused. In other news, are you f** kidding me?
The vendor now wants me to return the box.. which I have all my gear installed and set up..
Because of HIS mistake?![]()

Sure....but how is it any different from sitting in the car? He can't drive, but she would be doing the driving. The only thing that changes is that she's not driving, other than to and from the airport. But even so, he invited them all there and instead they are still pressuring him to go there so THEY don't have to make any effort. Who cares about the inconvenience to the "invalid" and family...I don't want to have to make an effort, so they should make double the effort because we are that much more important? I won't say what I thought about saying because it's a family thread and there may be children watching. My guess is their thought process was that he could get a wheelchair and just go through the airport that way...but he's a big guy. Would he FIT in one of those? Easier for him to be at home, and @ajrwdwgirl gets a peaceful holiday.![]()
