My son texted: A belly flop for Soft Opening Rivers tonight. Guests walked out.

Yeah, capacity seemed to be a known issue long before the now soft opening, do you want to forego additional fastpasses all day for an end of the night FP should you be able to get one in the first place.

The rah rah clan tonight are attempting to stifle the disappointed by saying
'it was a soft opening.' Ugh.

The whole fast pass thing is the reason I ended up booking a fast pass. I didn't want to be with just 2 fast passes the whole day waiting for a night time show. If the show had been showing on the day we arrived then I would have tried to get a fast pass for it. But I guess it will work out with the dinner show, we will want to eat and we've been meaning to do Tusker House for dinner/lunch for a couple trips now. If the show is good or worth watching again we will probably just get a fast pass for it when we go in June, for the day we arrive.

I love my cake and thank you!

Oh, my favorite new toy (from Lowes) that I requested for my birthday was a roof shovel--it extends 17 feet. You throw it up there, and then pull down snow--I had so much fun with that yesterday! :hilarious:

Then hubs brought out a ladder and he got up on that, to reach the rest of it up there (this is a lower, almost flat room, over a room that was an extension that the landlord built to the townhouse). I knew that with the 16 inches of snow we currently have from the past 2 days, and another expected foot or more of snow tonight, some of that weight would need to come off.

He wouldn't let me up on the ladder--he was convinced I'd fall off. :p Meanwhile, Jack was supervising the whole thing and kept barking at him to come down off that ladder! :D

I kind of wish I had been there to see that scene! You throwing a shovel up, then your hubs on a ladder and Jack just running around barking at you. The way I picture it in my head is a great comedy scene!:):joyfull:

Ha! Yah, just another "average" day at our house! :hilarious:

Not to mention, the ladder he was using was an old rickety, wooden one, and he was standing at the top rung. The 17 foot shovel is a bit unwieldy to begin with, let alone on top of a shaky ladder.

Then to top it off, he looked down at one point and his eyeglasses fell off down into the snow! So he's standing up on this old ladder with the 17-foot extension shovel, and he's blind as a bat with his eyeglasses down in the snow! :joyfull:

Attention cheese fans!!!!!!!!!!! SARGENTO cheese has recalled several cheeses due to listeria. Please check their site if you have any of their products!:hungover:

Oh no! I had made a point of buying Sargento over more generic brands the past few months, because it clearly stated it was made here in the USA. (Sometimes, I also buy Cabot from Vermont.) But I DO have Sargento in the frig now. UGH!

You could insert a picture of my dog in that!! The other night, he absconded with a small tub of hommus from off the table!! He's so fast. Hubs and I stepped out of the room for just seconds, and came back and saw hommus "evidence" on his goofy face and knew immediately what he did!! :cautious: :p What dog eats hommus?!!

What human decided that hommus should be eaten?:p So many more lovely things in this world to devour. You really need to leave some cheesecake or chocolate fudge cake on the table for him to abscond with. :geek:

Within 30 minutes my DD and I met 2 different 4 month old Bernice Mountain Dog Puppies. So much fun was had during our Puppy Fix.
