If you really think that Fantasyland is a fiasco then I doubt that there is very much that you would think is good. I think it was beautifully done, with plenty of positive changes, two rides, added Dumbo, restaurant, and meet and greet show, and some of the best theming that they have done in years. Might have been better, but, it was quite and improvement over the 9 year empty lot that preceded it. It did lose one ride that was about as popular as a pay toilet in a diarrhea ward. Unreasonable expectations do not a failure make.
dumbo was already there, they just added a copy. and I dont think that area counts as fantasyland, but part of the circus tent zone.

My son texted: A belly flop for Soft Opening Rivers tonight. Guests walked out.

Yeah, capacity seemed to be a known issue long before the now soft opening, do you want to forego additional fastpasses all day for an end of the night FP should you be able to get one in the first place.

The rah rah clan tonight are attempting to stifle the disappointed by saying
'it was a soft opening.' Ugh.
so.. ROL was a dud, just like wdw1974 predicted?

I remember the same types of reviews for JB. Hopefully with just a bit of tweaking it's get better. By the time I saw JB the boat timing and water projections were fixed:joyfull: We also had CMs in our section that were really having fun and getting into it.

I love my cake and thank you!

Oh, my favorite new toy (from Lowes) that I requested for my birthday was a roof shovel--it extends 17 feet. You throw it up there, and then pull down snow--I had so much fun with that yesterday! :hilarious:

Then hubs brought out a ladder and he got up on that, to reach the rest of it up there (this is a lower, almost flat room, over a room that was an extension that the landlord built to the townhouse). I knew that with the 16 inches of snow we currently have from the past 2 days, and another expected foot or more of snow tonight, some of that weight would need to come off.

He wouldn't let me up on the ladder--he was convinced I'd fall off. :p Meanwhile, Jack was supervising the whole thing and kept barking at him to come down off that ladder! :D

I always knew Jack was the brains of your operation:confused:

I don't expect anything good anymore after the fiasco of Fantasyland.

dumbo was already there, they just added a copy. and I dont think that area counts as fantasyland, but part of the circus tent zone.

I know that @Goofyernmost disagrees with the above, but I agree with FutureCEO and Cesar. Although I wouldn't call it a failure, my honest gut reaction was being underwhelmed by that area. It's "pretty" to look at and all, but as Cesar mentioned, Dumbo was already there. And the dark ride wasn't that great. Meet and greets aren't my thing.

Now, Seven Dwarfs is fun to ride, but I wouldn't wait in a long line for it, such as I would for Everest in AK, Space or Big Thunder.

In conclusion, while I find NF pleasant, it just didn't live up to the hype, in my opinion. I'm glad you like it, and I assume many others do as well.
