I had a job interview this morning. Was going to go on the interview and then go to Philly with my friend, but she had to work. :( So my mom and I just rode up and then went back home after the interview. It went well. They pretty much indicated that they need to check my references and I have to take a personality test, but other than that, if all goes well, I should get the job. Hopefully.

No adulting tomorrow other than finishing packing. Going to take a nap in a few.

Good vibes on this job? Good luck and I hope you get a good call back! :)

Nothing I haven't seen before in college. A lot of businesses think they're good indicators. Some of them are rather inciteful. Others, well, not so much.

I find personality tests hilarious. It says more about the lack of confidence interviewers and firms have in themselves and how little some human resource departments are able to think outside the box and put stock into what flavor of ice cream best describes yourself as insightful. Police Department use to utilize these type of questions in their exams and have mostly stopped...oddly they were geared to men and women rarely had the right ratio of points to be considered, red flagged and were weeded out.

Me, I've spent a great deal of my life when sitting in a chair on top of one of my feet. It had nothing to do with my personality more a physical allowance. I was very short in school, I sat on a foot to raise myself up to see over the person in front of me. The tests show it as a red flag, shy, indecisive and won't make a decision vs she is short and can't see over tall people. Still HR being data driven can't look past answer.

The Strudel looked awesome, no doubts that it went over so well. :hungry: As much as I envy your offices food parades If I worked there my girth would likely be 2x what it should be and people would be singing...Baby Got Back as I passed by. :joyfull: They'd need to add an additional room for post-lunch time aerobics class for me to survive the lovely food in your office. :hungry:
^^^This and add in spin class and a pilates class:eek:

We broke a pipe yesterday. My understanding is Public Works will come dig up my parkway tomorrow.
Joy Joy :in pain: A pile of clay will sit out there until summer at least.

Or move farther south? In 1982 we had Christmas in the low 70s, in both 1983 and 84 we had artic cold down to the -30's with windchills colder than the North Pole. Some years we do not have snow until January, sometimes by mid-October. We had a blizzard before Thanksgiving on my DD Birthday one year and I had the fear of God that those relatives were Going to camp in my house overnight.

Me, I think it is all Weather, never know what you are going to get vs Climate Change because it is neither consistent warmer or colder. We had 2014-2015 with pretty chilly summers where I didn't need much A/C. Then this last summer was kinda toasty by midwest standards. I'm Goldilocks, Not too Hot, Not too Cold, want it just right. :)
Sympathy like. Isn't there anything that can be done about the dirt?

Ok, I don't mean to be the Negative nancy here, but waking up to teen temperatures 5 days in a row is really starting to aggravate me. It's not like I live up north, or in the midwest. I live in Kentucky... It usually doesn't get this cold until late January/early February. I wonder what it would cost to buy some swamp land in Florida and pick my house up and move. :brb: :hilarious: :hilarious:
I checked realtor .com just to look at houses in central Florida just to see palm trees:hilarious: Time to start thinking about out Golden Girls plan again!

Oh I am sure there is...they 99.9% won't. Their common response has always been the same for everyone. They have to leave the mound for it to settle back in and that takes time. True but it is clay not dirt. It rarely settles in by more than inches vs the 3 foot mounds of clay.

From what I understand, it's pretty standard procedure. I think mostly they are looking for red flags. I know one of my professors, who I absolutely adored, was an HR person, and she used the personality tests. Considering that this firm that literally does nothing but hire people and place them into positions, I think it's just a supplement to their own impressions. I think in order to have a business, they must be pretty capable with knowing what exactly they are looking for.

They briefed me on this particular test when I first interviewed. From what I understand, it's used to measure motivation and attention-to-detail through logic questions. I'm not worried about it at all. I think it's more looking for key red flags and also just looking for areas that could be strengthened while working for them.

I love baking with coconut oil. After I'm all done I put 1 tablespoon in a cup with a tablespoon of baking soda and a few drops of hand soap and wash my hands. They are so nice and soft:) Now if only I could remember to do it a few times a week:oops:
