I miss @catmom46 , too. She was funny and I enjoyed her posts.

Awww, you guys are so sweet! I'm still around and missing you guys, too. I have good news and bad news. Good news is my daughter and I have a Disney World trip planned for winter break! I'm so excited, so looking forward to it. The bad news is I'm STILL not divorced. My ex is going for full custody now with me only having visitation every other weekend, so the court ordered a parent evaluation, which I'm hoping will be completed early next month and go in my favor to demonstrate how crazy he is. It involves about 8-10 hours of interviews with me and my ex (separately), as well as character witnesses, of which he only listed his mom and our previous neighbors, none of our close friends who know us.

Other good news is I'm still seeing the guy I mentioned earlier and we just celebrated 8 months of being together, so I'm really happy about that. He is also still in the divorce process, but his trial is scheduled for next month, while mine isn't until next February! :banghead::banghead::banghead: However, I'm hoping that once we get the evaluation and it's favorable, my ex will not have any leverage and decide to settle out of court. I'm not that hopeful, but they say miracles can happen, right??

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a quick note and I promise I'll be back to provide more details about our trip and for sure will be posting pictures during! I love you all and hope everyone is doing well. :inlove::inlove::inlove:

Has anyone else seen the trailer for Cars 3? :cyclops: A little dark to be taking a little kid to. They'll be crying.
In some ways, I wonder how much these Pixar sequels are targeted towards the kids so much as they are targeted to adults and the kids who grew up with Cars that are now adults. I think I was probably more excited for Finding Dory than any kid in my extended family was. I have probably also seen it more times than the kids in my extended family. Which really should not be discussed because it's kind of shameful. :cyclops::joyfull:

I think the same thing applies with Cars. The kids that were into the first movie are now teens and young adults. To a certain extent, I think that they are targeting Cars 3 more to that group.

But then again, Disney films have always had some darkness in them. I mean, for goodness sake, in Pinocchio, the boys are turned into donkeys and then Pinocchio and Geppeto get swallowed by a whale. I remember Sleeping Beauty and Hunchback of Notre Dame being intense when I was a kid. And Pink Elephants on parade...:cautious:

I was at Disneyland a few weekends ago and I looked to see if toffee was there. :D

We went in July and bought 5 packs. 4 are still in our freezer! I'm going back for a solo trip over Easter, I'll get some more then. ;)

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your ex but I'm very glad things are going well with the new guy! When are you doing wdw? I'm on a plane soon to be taking off for there soon, and then we will be there the first weekend in March.

Quick question perhaps @figmentfan423 or @StarWarsGirl would know....I've done online check for our Disney resort and I have my room number so I shouldn't need to stop at the front desk. Except we are renting a car so do I need to register our car at all with the front desk? I think I read that for parking they don't have paper passes but use magic bands. I just don't want to stop at the front desk unless I need to. Thanks!

Cool, maybe we can meet up during your solo trip! We can feast on toffee together. :joyfull:

We will be at WDW Dec 17-24, staying at Coronado Springs. I'm on the waitlist for Bay Lake, but I'm not holding my breath we'll get in. I've only booked dinner at 50's Prime Time and Jingle Bell party so far, and most of the FPs. I'm thinking about booking the Villains dinner, too.

Unless it's changed since we were there in July, I don't recall needing paper passes either. But we had to go to the front desk anyway because neither of our rooms were ready when we arrived.

The kids buy a jarred turkey gravy, I'm not sure of the milk content though. I wish they would put salt and pepper on the table. I figured it would be rude to bring my own!
Not sure why that would be rude. If they don't want to personally use salt or pepper, that is certainly their right. It is not, however, their right to prevent others from using it. Bring you own and use it in whatever amounts you want. It is rude for them to not provide seasonings for their guests. Y'all got that backwards.

I would think that you would still need a paper pass to put in your windshield simply because they'll want to make sure your vehicle belongs there when you're there overnight. We haven't had a car at WDW for years, but I know Hilton Head and Aulani both still use paper passes in addition to your room key verification. If that is the case, your parking pass should be in your welcome packet and you wouldn't need to stop at the front desk, other than maybe stopping quickly at the online check in desk for the pass. Like I said, I'm not 100% sure, but there should be a CM to greet you, no matter how late you get there, so just ask if you still need a paper pass or if it's 100% electronic. They'll know the answer. :)

I definitely plan to drop in more often once the divorce is finalized. And thank you so much for the prayers. It is very much appreciated. :cat:

I hope the doctors can figure out what's going on with you, though! Kinda scary not knowing what the heck is in there...

Yea, it's been a bit scary at times, but, I've been assured that the chances of it being anything more than totally annoying are pretty much zero.
I hope the ER doc recommended surgeon can finally figure it out.
Anyhoo, thanks for the well-wishes...!!! :)

That would be really cool to meet up. It's so fun that you'll be at wdw right before Christmas. And you'll be able to see the Christmas parade and fireworks at the MK without paying for the party. We are doing the jingle bell dessert party on Thursday so I will let you know how it is.

My plane is getting de-iced right now we are only 30 minutes late. Now we are moving! Have a good night all!
