My dad's been talking about getting Darth Vader or a Stormtrooper and sitting it in the big window on the front of our house so that when people drive by, that's what they see. Or putting one of the ones with a motion sensor out for while we're gone to scare whoever's taking care of the house.

You're making me blush. I like to cook so it's fun work and yes I take time to both relax and work out:joyfull: Tonight, tomorrow and Thursday will all be bubble bath nights:joyfull:
Me too. I'm exhausted! I had to go to Walmart and buy a Pumpkin Pie and a tub of Cool Whip. I also had to purchase a whole lot of produce to make a salad for the occasion. Honestly, there is no rest for us nurturing people during the holidays.:in pain::eek:

I like baked chicken way better than turkey. Not as gamy in my opinion. However, I love to do a breading station for leftover turkey and saute' in a little olive oil. So much better than just roasted turkey. Our kids don't know the meaning of seasoning...
Do you use gravy at all? I don't with chicken, but I find Turkey a bit bland without it. Turkey usually has a bit less fat, so it doesn't have as much flavor by itself. But I suppose with the milk, you probably can't have it?

The kids buy a jarred turkey gravy, I'm not sure of the milk content though. I wish they would put salt and pepper on the table. I figured it would be rude to bring my own!

Disney has made me mad.The crazy upcharge for the Riverboat desert party and closing the boat for 3 hours is beyond a cash grab. I think between 1 and 3 is the best time to ride it because the wait is reasonable and it's a nice cool way to take a mid-day break without leaving the park. That and in park cabanas:cautious::rolleyes::mad::banghead: If Disney wants to have a cash grab usually I don't mind but something that takes away from what's included in a base ticket is just wrong. rant over
The cash grabs over this year has finally taken their toll. We are going in June, but we can't afford it any more. We will stay in the room. But do thing elsewhere. No more AP's either, after a year, was bought in October, and will get maximum use from that. But no more, enough is enough. Can I join your rant?;););)

I'm not a fan of reunions. My side of the family only does reunions by default, usually weddings and funerals at best. As I've said on my Mom's side of the family I have 43 first cousins, some I've never met, some I wish I had not and a special few I really love. Those I see.

Now the other side of the family they tended to force these things. It too has dwindled. Something happened...we were never sure what but the elders have been strained at best since, the annual reunions stopped. We were all curious but nobody would crack and tell us what went down. One year the reunions just stopped. Me, Amen. Boy I hated those 4x a year (both sides of the inlaw family) events. Even the cousins were one upping each other...the elders competing for bragging rights. It was unseemly. So not a fan.

Me, if you like the people, you see them, you spend time with them. If not why bother?
Oh that's so sad that that was your experience...I'm so sorry! My mom's family did reunions every 5 years or so and it was sooooo nice. Everyone had a great time. But some of us lived so far away, it was the only time we got to see the family, so it made it very special. And my husband's family does get togethers twice a year and it's great. The kids play together and the grandmas and grandpas LOVE seeing all the kids...even their siblings' grandkids. It's not a one-upmanship at all....they take joy in ALL the kids.

No more Epcot makes me mad. Like the reason why the park is declining is the rides are not very good and there is not enough. You can mix education with fun....you just need the right balance.

And I hate the new Test Track.

This new Disney sucks. Catering towards the younger helicopter generation and their kids (yes, that's my generation but we suck). Next May is last trip only because I only want to stay at the Yacht and Beach Club. (of course I say that now)

Woof, and oh joy. Home early today.
Just spent the latter part of the morning and early afternoon in the ER.
An ongoing situation that nobody can yet seem to give me a definitive answer on... :cyclops:
So far, over a period of time, I've had a physical exam, a sonogram, another physical exam and a CT scan today in the ER.
It's physically there and visible, but, still, nobody can tell me, definitively, what it is.
The problem is definitely annoying (l'll just say that recently there's bleeding involved)...almost as much as the fact that I have yet to get an answer.
Seems to be nothing life-threatening, thankfully.
Will call for an appointment tomorrow with an ER doc recommended surgeon.
And, we shall see... :bored:

Maybe you can buy a Christmas pair of salt and pepper shakers at the dollar store and fill them. Then you can give them for an early present thay way they'll be on the table for both holidays. ;)
