Sometimes it takes me more time to put all those groceries away than it took to put them in the cart at the store. The kids/boys were great. They carried all our bags in from the car. it was raining when we left the stores, and some of the paper bags were a bit soggy. Thank goodness they doubled the bags that had the cans in them.

By kids, I mean my grandson and his cousin. My grandson lives in our attic, and his cousin lives in our basement. We have a tenant too. She's on the 2nd floor, and we are on the first floor. It's nice not to be alone. Although I sometimes wished that I had more privacy.

I ran across a system for cooking corn in the husk in the microwave. You can remove, with kitchen sheers, most of the silk that hangs loose. Cut the bottoms off the ears just above the part where it goes back inward and nuke it for just a few minutes. When it is done you use oven mitts, hold the corn over a plate and shake it and it falls right out of the bottom of the husk, no silk at all, it comes out slick and clean. I love it.. throw the husk and silk in the compost or garbage when they cool.
I'm going to keep that in mind, if I can catch corn, when it first comes to the store! Thanks for the info.

You're quite welcome and MEN:mad::mad::mad::mad: except for @donaldtoo and Mr. Betts notice I didn't include @Mr Ferret 88 :D

Hahaaa...!
Oh, I ain't no Mr. Perfect, but thanks. :)
And yea, I would sooner tie 50 steaks to myself and lay down in the middle of a yard full of starving pit bulls than tell DWifey she needs to lose (which btw, although SHE thinks she does, I don't ;)) a few pounds...!!!!! ;)

My foot is a whole lot better since I put insoles in all my shoes. I still get twinges of pain, now and then, but not constant aching. I always stretch my feet, toes, and legs before getting out of bed, and that helps make my first steps. I can't walk barefoot though. I need a new, more comfortable pair of slippers however. I was able to shop today without any trouble.

IKEA, Target and Bed Bath were our haunts for college dorm rooms. I was masterful in 'this small space' creating maximum storage for my kids via IKEA & BB&B. If you are going to add storage think cube shelves that are tall. We did a great deal floor to ceiling and raising the bed without bunking it for storage.

I should have taken out stock in 3M for the amount of hooks I purchased too.
Thanks for the tips. I really wish I could see the space. With different band camps, I have been in dorm rooms where the beds are already raised, and some aren't. I guess I am glad he isn't going to school in the middle of nowhere, so if something occurs to us last minute when the room gets put together, it isn't a big deal. My friend's daughter is off to Michigan Tech. If they didn't bring it with, and you can't get it at Walmart, forget it.

I'm not a fan of grocery shopping. So many things, I can't eat. Mostly stay in frozen or fresh, and a little meat. I found the best "bread" ever...it's only 8 calories a slice...of course it's one inch by one inch!. Canape bread. I need to cut down on carb's so it will work for me!

I love the rye Canape bread. Great for a wee little snack. I have to say though when it is Bike season I'm adding over 5000 steps to my day. I'm now averaging 15,000 to 20,000 per day, some days more when I actually remember to put the fitbit on before 10am. Makes me happy cause I can eat more loveliness. :inlove:

I was fortunate. Kenosha, Champaign and Bloomington had lots of options. My kids were 5 grades apart, I did this forever it seemed. I also rented storage lockers by their dorms cause I was not hauling all that stuff back home again over the summer break. Both of their first years there were multiple trips to Walmart and Home Depot. I swear when we finally got all the stuff hooked up for my DS (my first) I skipped to the car just like I skipped home the first day of kindergarten. Now when my DD went off to college that was another story, so happy for her but it was a bittersweet right of passage for us both.

In that case nothing is off the list.
The best coaster in UNI is the Mummy.
The best coasters in Orlando imho are Kraken and Manta @ seaworld
Don't forget to do the hogwarts express both ways.
Buy your wands after riding the big rides as the lockers aren't very big
Don't let anyone press the red button on MIB (then press it as you get eaten by a bug towards the end of the ride for a higher score)
If you can get it back row on all the coasters is best ;)
The camera on the mummy is just after the flame room
Take a change of clothes if you are going to do Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw falls and Jurrasic park river adventure ( and Pluto's bilgerat barges) You will get very wet .
you forgot telling her that its best to buy the wands AFTER you do the ollivander's trip.

I never follow the team sports like baseball, football or hockey. But I do recall years ago that my cousins from Brooklyn, NY, were die-hard Mets fans. They never won either, but it was "their" team. (I haven't a clue how the team is doing nowadays, but I always recall my father kidding my cousins about their "losing" team. ;) )

Wrigley and fans just make the experience so awesome. They haven't won in my lifetime, it is a way of life. Still love my Cubbies. We use to go every Tuesday when I was growing up. There were not lights at Wrigley until recent years so plenty of day games to view and ladies got in free on Tuesdays. My Mom would buy Sis and I great foods-good days.

I equally love my Bears and U of I. I bleed blue for all as of late. I'm not a big fan of basketball. Even when the Bulls were the franchise I just found them all to be drama kings. Never bonded.

But I have my Blackhawks and have been a fan since I was tiny. I'd watch with my Dad and he'd always call me when there was a good fight happening. Red ice often during a game. My hockey team has done well over the last few years and I rarely miss their games.
