I got my headbands for my WDW trip. 8 different really cool colors. Now I am ready for the 90 degree weather that's bound to come in August, and September. I even got an orange one to go with my orange socks, and orange t-shirt for the Halloween Party. The bands are made really nice, and have just enough stretch in them.

I ran across a system for cooking corn in the husk in the microwave. You can remove, with kitchen sheers, most of the silk that hangs loose. Cut the bottoms off the ears just above the part where it goes back inward and nuke it for just a few minutes. When it is done you use oven mitts, hold the corn over a plate and shake it and it falls right out of the bottom of the husk, no silk at all, it comes out slick and clean. I love it.. throw the husk and silk in the compost or garbage when they cool.

My kids have been Blackhawk fans since they were little kids. My older boy just turned 49, and his brother is 45. My grandson has been lucky. He has seen three Stanley Cup Championships in his young life. I may never see the Cubs win a World Series, but Chicago has had the Super Bowl winning Bears, the championships of the Bulls, and the White Sox winning the World Series all in my lifetime. It has been fun. Will the Cubs finally do it. Maybe.

My foot is a whole lot better since I put insoles in all my shoes. I still get twinges of pain, now and then, but not constant aching. I always stretch my feet, toes, and legs before getting out of bed, and that helps make my first steps. I can't walk barefoot though. I need a new, more comfortable pair of slippers however. I was able to shop today without any trouble.

Did the doctor tell you to use your feet and pretend you're writing the alphabet in cursive with them? That helps.
