When I was just starting college, a coworker from my summer job came and stayed with me in my dorm room for a few nights because she was doing some first aid/life saving courses in town and she had booked a hotel room and when she got there, they wouldn't let her stay because she was only 19 and you had to be 21. She called me begging for a floor to crash on so she didn't have to sleep in her car. I think it's pretty standard in most places because she went to several motels and they all told her the same thing. I'm surprised that Disney allows that...I wonder what their age limit is.
I'm sure they look to see if the credit card will cover all contingencies. ;)

I can honestly say that based on where I went to high school, the ones causing major problems are the minority. And it's also not like flipping a switch for the 21 year olds anyway.

I jut want them to make up their minds. Either allow 18 year olds to stay there...or don't charge the extra adult fee until they're 21.
I agree, they shouldn't charge extra for being an adult with parents, and treating you like a kid, when you need your own room. I wonder if anyone sees this as an age discrimination thing?

How was it? I've thought about going there a few times, but usually wind up somewhere else instead. I hope it was better than campus food.

We eat at Noodles & Co. For the most part it doesn't cost me anymore for a family than any other fast food and there are so many different versions across different types cultural foods too.

Howdy gang, just checkin' in...!
I know I last left off yesterday from Pirates queue after Oldest DD and SIL rejoined us after their Kona lunch.
Anyway, forgot to mention that after our CHH lunch we went and did CoP, then met them at Pirates.
Some Guests on CoP (in another theater) tried to get up and leave during the show, so the show was interrupted, an announcement was made, and we ended up gettin' to watch the 40's scene twice. :)

I'll fill in details later, but, we ended up stayin' at MK 'til Park close, got back to the resort about 11p, finally bedded down around midnight, then were up at 3:30a this morning to get ready for the 5K. The 5K was a BLAST...!!!!! :joyfull: After the race/run/walk, we attended a participants breakfast buffet, and then we were off to Epcot. We just got back from Epcot about 45 min. ago, and are chillin' for a bit before headin' back to Epcot around 5:30, or so, to close it down tonight...! :)
Tomorrow, we spend the morning at DSprings, and then hafta' be back to catch ME at about 2:45.

And yes, there are plenty of tutu picks, some of which I'll post at some point in the near future...! :D

OK, I'm out for now, gang...
Have a Magical day...!
Laterrrrrrr...!!! :)

Haven't tried this one. Thanks!
My FIL always bought a big bag of of rock salt and poured it around the foundation of the house he swore it worked. For us we buy Raid for ants and spray around the foundation and it seems to work for the summer month's. I've also heard that if you plant spearmint plants around the foundation, the ants will leave, they hate the smell of spearmint. I tried that and it worked. Spearmint can be an invasive plant, so you may have to pull it out where you don't want it. We don't have a long enough growing season for it to become an invasive plant. I cut it off as it grows and put around the foundation. Now, for us it easier to spray Raid where we see them coming in. Outside of course.

74 mph winds. I can't remember winds like this that were not tied to a storm.
They are called Chinook winds, and can get up to over 125 mph. Our builders out here build for those kind of winds , so little home damage. Our houses sway with the winds. I don't know how they do it, but it works, the only time we had roof damage was after a very big hail storm, the size of golf balls....had to have the roof replaced.

We had to have a roof replaced with hail golf balls too about 15 years ago. It is nasty here, branches down, power out all over the place, airlines delayed and canceled flights. They have closed many venues including observation decks in Sears and Hancock Towers. I'm happy I'm not flying today. Can't imagine the take off and landings. Nasty.

Our airport cancels take off's. Landings, they do the best they can. We were once on a flight with the cross winds, which can't alway's be predicted. We had a very hard landing, and blew a tire. Dicey, but we made it. Now, before landing I sit above my seat with the seat belt on, so I don't slam my discs into the very hard seats. This has worked for many years. But you have to have the seat belt on almost in the sitting position and try to keep from going too high or too low. It has taken a lot of practice. So far so good.
