If they can't move in, obviously we can't start classes. My flight is eligible to be rescheduled without a fare change. So...I might go home a day later than expected. I'm sick though and unsure whether I'll make it out the door tomorrow, so I wouldn't mind an extended trip. I was thinking I was about due to be sick because I haven't been sick in months other than the ocassional cold (seriously, the only time I missed work and school was for my hand surgery; I went to my allergist for a check up when I realized I hadn't seen him in six months), but of course I get sick...now. :bored:

I'm so sorry you're sick and it's while in Disney but 6 months for you is almost a miracle. I'm glad your immune system is improving and I hope whatever you have is nothing but a 24 hour nothing. Prayers and pixie dust. Please be safe when you get home

He fell and the board's fin smacked him in the face. At least he wasn't surfing alone. But my friend was in England at the time having dental work done...she's English, but lives in Ireland now, and she's allergic to a bunch of the local anesthetics. So her dentist in Ireland couldn't treat her and she needed to have root canals and such done and to get it done in the hospital was going to be more than a year's wait, even being on the urgent list. So she went back to England to have it done there with her old dentist. So she was supposed to be there for a couple of weeks and she got a call from the surfer friend who was with her husband when he went down....he fished him out of the water and drove him to the hospital and then called my friend, but completely downplayed it....just a cut on his face, no biggie. She was able to call the hospital directly the next morning and find out that he was going into surgery to reconstruct the eye socket and sinuses, and that he was concussed. So she hopped a plane back to Ireland and she'll have to go back to England next week to finish her dental work. Nasty business all around.

My mother seems to be ok and is now waiting for my sister in the repair center of Nissan.

Not amused.. as a car hit can pretty much nail 20% of the car value in an instant.. even if its just dents..
and it was a NEW CAR with special proximity sensors for her.

But doesn't his insurance have to cover it? He's liable, isn't he?

Worse I can think of is.. the dbag running away, leaving my mother hurt.. (because of her bad back), car paid by insurance but still she had to pay both the medic and a fraction of the repairs..

Did he actually find it? The article I read last night said he was LOOKING for one and that there was evidence of a large one at the edge of our solar system, so they are using high powered telescopes to look for it, but being so far out, it won't reflect much light and could still be extremely difficult to find, even if it does exist.
