That's very interesting. For some reason, I only thought the sweat lodges were for the men only. So where you went, were there 2 sweat lodges, one for women? (Traditions may also change from tribal nation to tribal nation.)

My brothers wife goes to one in Alaska. She is Native Alaskan

No, it was co-ed. It wasn't a traditional sweat lodge - it was offered as a spa treatment.

My workplace has a program that looks like it's from the 80's It's a terrible program everyone hates with a passion. Big blocky wording...its just bad. Think of the first computers.

That's funny cuz one of my co-workers recently told me he misses DOS. Although we still use UNIX at work.

It was the anesthesiologist , forcing in the air tube. The Dr. was fired from the hospital after that. Apparently she had done the same thing in the past. To make a long story short, the surgery to repair the good lung was guided by surgeons out of Indianapolis, since our local surgeons didn't know what they were doing.

Huge sympathy like.

I'm glad that your dad can still live independently. I'm also glad that he has a Dr. and you watching out for him. You are a good daughter.

Aw, thank you...that's very sweet of you to say. Sometimes it's very hard being so far away and wishing I could look in on him myself. My brother lives MUCH closer, but they don't have much of a relationship and there is too much hurt and mistrust on both sides, so I can't ask my brother to do it. I'm so glad he has good friends and neighbors who will check on him and help him out!! I'd really feel better if he would at least move off the ranch and into town, but for now, as long as he's being looked after, I'm not TOO stressed.

Yes Disney does. They have a private pool for staff that they use to certify their staff at before they go anywhere near guests. It is a nice little resort park with a beach for CMs and their families to use. I was happy this past year that Disney finally put lifeguards on their ships.

I wonder if its because people complained to Disney after some kids died in the pool of the Fantasy.. (or was it the Dream?).
Regardless, I still find funny that the Parents who were too busy drinking in the adults pool area.. werent even caring about what their "precious" were doing.

Way to go!! My son had his first soccer tournament for the season today and they took 2nd. It was a good day for sports, apparently!!

So my hammock of about 4 years ripped the other day to the point I was afraid it was unsafe so hubby ordered me new one with next day delivery. Even though it is cloudy I'm trying to enjoy it. It has a different fit than my old one. I guess the dog and I will just have to adjust.
