Yeah it was nice, but he ordered it through our joint Amazon account that has my credit card number so I pay for it anyway. Oh well, it saved me from having to research it! ;)
My dh left me a note saying he ordered some pins for the boys, so they'd have for trading. One more item crossed off the Christmas shopping list. I think that was sweet. Who am I kidding he wants first dibs because he does as much trading as the boys:cautious:

You had a wonderful experience , and I'm so glad for you. I would love to see an authentic pow wow. Hubby and I both have Native American grandparents. On one of his jobs, while working for the Navaho Nation, he was asked to attend a ceremony in the sweat lodge. With the tribal leaders.

Wow. That is considered quite an honor. Your hubby must have earned their respect while he worked there; that speaks very highly of him.

I went to a sweat lodge on a trip to Manzanillo - they call it a temazcal. I loved it! So invigorating and relaxing at the same time.

That's very interesting. For some reason, I only thought the sweat lodges were for the men only. So where you went, were there 2 sweat lodges, one for women? (Traditions may also change from tribal nation to tribal nation.)

I'm glad you had such a lovely day, aren't farm stands the best.?

Thank you. Yes, I love farm stands. This one is especially nice, because it's on a really large farm--they have lots of farm animals and they also have a big vegetable growing section as well. It's really massive and the land is on both sides of a back country road. I'm familiar with the people who own and work on the farm, because I've gone cross country skiing there many winters. They have tons of trails for skiing.

Yep, your workplace sounds like mine in regard to not being up-to-date technology-wise. They really have difficulty letting go of inefficiency apparently.

My workplace has a program that looks like it's from the 80's o_O It's a terrible program everyone hates with a passion. Big blocky wording...its just bad. Think of the first computers.

Happy Sunday, dh is thinking today would be a good day for blueberry picking, Yea!

Hope you have fun blueberry picking today and glad your hubby will be with you for protection. Bears love blueberries. I'll never forget the time up in northern Maine when the family went up there for vacation. My brothers and I went into a field of blueberries with our pails. I was very little at the time (about 3 years old) and I remember picking blueberries and sitting on the ground eating them (none went into the pail . . . :hilarious: ).

Anyway, within a short time, we heard a noise and saw a bear about 30 feet away. We moved out of there quickly, but the bear actually could have cared less about us; he was content to munch on blueberries! ;)
