Yes these days it's all about marketing. You cant blame her honestly, look at lady gaga and miley cyrus.
Almost seems like a contest to see WHO SHOWS MORE SKIN in the most ridiculous way than actually focus on singing.

I agree with you. My kids and I would watch Hanna Montana and I thought she was very talented. It's a shame that Miley felt the need to include drugs in her music and dress in a provocative manner because she's quite talented and could have remained popular without needing to resort to such drastic measures for attention. Too quick to shed that squeaky clean image instead of making a smooth, gradual transition to more adult music.
I think it is the Disney curse. Taylor Swift didn't start out with Disney.First to admit that I'm not a music fan, but would I be correct in saying that Taylor Swift has transitioned much more smoothly and subtly?
I am actually a fan of Swift ' s music. I like all types of music and I am not ashamed to say that I find her talented.Taylor Swift music is horrible to me and writes songs about her boyfriends but at least she's a better rode model than most musicians. She's my next door neighbor....haha kidding but she does have a house here.
Agree again.Yes. She gradually transitioned from album to album. And she's managed to do it tastefully and without a lot of controversy. She also doesn't seek out the attention, but rather lets her work speak for itself.
Miley Cyrus just did it in a most distasteful manner (namely, twerking at the VMAs) and has been doing drugs (her one song We Can't Stop is about drugs) which has basically ruined her image.
I don't think that vocally, Taylor Swift is as talented as Miley Cyrus (though she's an amazing songwriter), but I have a lot more respect for T-Swift. While transitioning into adulthood, she recognizes that she has younger fans and acts accordingly. I used to be a big Miley Cyrus fan. I was of the Hannah Montana generation. I still have several of her albums and enjoy some of her older music. But she alienated me and, I believe, a lot of her other fans just to get some attention which really was not at all positive.
I feel like a chump complaining about my second job now after reading your posts. On a separate topic: how is your pregnant family member doing? When I was workin' 3 jobs, I went more than 3 months without a full day off, a few times. Plus, other than weekends off, bein' back with the firm and all, I work ALL YEAR LONG, and we haven't been on a vacation since our June of 2013 WDW trip.
OK, your turn...

Thank you! It has been about two hours since my first dose of antibiotics and I think I feel a little less clogged. Probably wishful thinking. I'm indulging in my favorite drink: ginger ale and cranberry juice. Now IT makes me feel better.Feel Better!![]()
Too late for me.OK guys, I'm gonna' fly for now...
The sweetest of Disney dreams to each and every one of y'all...!

Too late for me.
I've been watching CNN's coverage in Ferguson.
I think I'm having a bit of a panic attack. Not sure if I'm going to cry or throw up.
Without coming down on one side or the other, I just want to ask - what good comes of rioting and looting?
Tomorrow morning, that young man is still dead. Some folks will still hate cops. The agitators will go home. And the town will be left in shambles.
And for Pete's sake, who shoots at firemen to prevent them from putting out the fires?
Decision made - I'm gonna cry.

In my profession, we are not covered under Labour Board Legislation; no scheduled breaks or lunches, no limits to hours worked, no overtime pay.
In the summer of 1992, the Builder was particularly pi$$y and refused to pay for any relief staff to cover holidays. Prior to my 2-weeks holiday in September, I had to work 56 days straight. No weekends, no Canada Day, no August Civic Holiday (now called Lord Simcoe Day), and no Labour Day. And oh yeah, when I got back from holidays (Florida, of course), I had to work Thanksgiving.
We now observe the industry standard and close all sites on Fridays.
Other than that, each site is open every day except December 24, 25, 26; December 31, January 1; and Easter Sunday. That's it folks.
No Time and a Half - strictly commission.
No lieu days.
And "Holiday Hours" are 11-6, instead of 1-8. I'd rather the two hours extra sleep, quite frankly.
My job has thankfully evolved over the years.I was like you when I worked at Ohare, why I ultimately quit. We were exempt from the holiday work thing just like Disney CMs. We know when we take these jobs they must be staffed.
Retailers are a different animal here. Laws were passed here in Illinois car dealerships could not open on Sunday to encourage the importance of family. I believe the same type of regulations should be put in place for retail on a handful of holidays if we believe in the importance of family. When a business industry can't self regulate in a compassionate way then regulate it like the other states do. It is different than transportation and medical fields, retail not a necessary duty to trump family. Like autos, people can still shop the days after like they purchase cars Monday-Saturday.
Me I changed professions a third time because I needed to be home for my children, we all make hard and difficult choices when it comes to family and what we will gracefully accept from employers or not. Like the photos posted some employers in retail are harsher than the need in society requires.
Hilary Duff, Raven Symone and (except for her choice in boyfriends) Selena Gomez being the exceptions. Many of the High School Musical stars are also doing fineI think it is the Disney curse. Taylor Swift didn't start out with Disney.
Well, of course they did. That's what they do.The media soaked this up to the max. Al Sharpton too
