I don't think that there are more than 5 people in the world that enjoy working in retail and no more the 2 that don't hate their bosses. This was garnered from personal life experience. Having been both supervised and supervising. Sometimes the hate runs in both directions. My son works at Target, I think he feels the same as you......

My father in law used to say that "a person can start a business and enjoy the success and income it garners, then they have to hire help and it becomes a chore" *. (at least until they are big enough to have a Human Resource Department and they can be isolated from the never ending daily employee problems.)I've never worked in retail but I have had a few employers that I didn't care for.
My first legal job at age 16 was as a cashier at Kmart $3.35 per hour. I worked under the table jobs prior to age 16. I liked it and when someone used a credit card the transaction took longer. I had to look in a thick book of stolen credit card numbers and had to compare it to the customer credit card to see if the card was legit. I wore a K mart vest and a shirt and tie.I don't think that there are more than 5 people in the world that enjoy working in retail and no more the 2 that don't hate their bosses. * He used more colorful words than chore, but this is a family board.
