My first legal job at age 16 was as a cashier at Kmart $3.35 per hour. I worked under the table jobs prior to age 16. I liked it and when someone used a credit card the transaction took longer. I had to look in a thick book of stolen credit card numbers and had to compare it to the customer credit card to see if the card was legit. I wore a K mart vest and a shirt and tie.
Back when you had to use a machine to "scan" (aka make a print copy) of the credit card numbers, right?

Took Matthew (he’s off work today) to his friend Tyler’s a bit ago…had to stand outside the car after we opened the doors for about a minute to let the heat dissipate…!!!!! :hilarious:
The circled part makes me chuckle, ‘cause it only got up to 101 yesterday…!!!!! 😅

Oh, you had a list?

And I was wondering about these.

So funny story, a few weeks ago, my mom showed me a Youtube video of one of those for some reason, not sure how we got on the topic, and that was when I learned that is why credit cards have the characters ridged on them. See, for as long as I've been alive, credit cards have pretty much been taken by computer; I have no memory of those things. So I had to admit that I always thought the characters on a credit card were ridged so blind people could identify them. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Yeah, that was my millennial moment.
