My Father had one green eye and one brown eye. From what I read that usually skips one generation and then shows up again. Neither of my girls had that though and my nephew doesn't either. Mine have the same brown eyes as their mother and me.
I quoted myself to add that none of my four grandchildren have that either. Two with blue and two with brown.
But spiders eat flies ...
Did I ever tell you about the time that I had walked into the bathroom and spotted a ginormous spider casually strolling across the floor? I grabbed a book (the only thing handy) and dropped it on the spider. That killed it instantly. Listen I'm all for allowing them to survive, but, in nature not my apartment. Anyway, I wasn't wearing my glasses at the time and as I looked down there must have been a hundred tiny little dot sized spiders scurrying across my floor. At first I couldn't figure out what I was seeing. Then it occurred to me that the big one was a momma spider and she was carrying them all on her back, partially what made her look so big. Anyway, to shorten my story up, never have so many innocent animals been killed by a single book. A classic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Interesting and somewhat rare, indeed, from what I understand...!
Both my folks have, pretty much, the same brown eyes, and myself and my 3 younger sibs have same.
But, as I posted earlier, throw DWifeys beautiful blues into the mix and we have kiddos with blue, green, and brown eyes. And blue eyes are a recessive gene, IIRC...?
Oldest DD has the blues, and definitely passed ‘em on to our dear lil’ Emy...!!!!!:)

Can’t believe I’m still up, but the day went great, the ring was double what it was two Saturdays ago (our last week in the old place.) (Not record setting (ha!) but definitely a strong Saturday for that store, especially in August.

Can’t make too much out of a good ring yet (our other store was lower than usual) but i can say with certainty it was not a failure out of the gate. With just a FB post at 10pm the night before, we had better than a usual Saturday. That’s such a relief!

If we had been twiddling our thumbs all day and not ringing much, I’d be a whole new kind of mess right now! 🤪

Gotta wake up in 3.5 hours so...Zzzzz...

Congrats on the great Saturday! I hope you have much more continued success there.

Southwest flight tomorrow is 7AM. Coincidentally, I woke up at 7:02AM today for check-in. Got boarding A-57, not too bad for two minutes late!

Taking my time a little bit, should get to work around 8:15, almost 3 hours to work before opening, and help comes in at 9:30.

Haircut at noon with my new business neighbor lol. Gotta start laundry before I leave so I can pack this afternoon.

Is it crazy/suspicious to bring an extra, empty suitcase? When I go to these things, I inevitably get "gifts" - mostly records. Like bags and bags of them. That's why I'm flying Southwest - 2 checked bags at no charge. I'm bringing and extra suitcase just to bring those records home. (The past two years, I ended up throwing clothes away to fit them and make weight LOL.)

Maybe I'll just split my clothes between them on the way out to NOLA.

Staying at the Hotel Monteleone, where I can sit at the spinning Carousel Bar and enjoy a Vieux Carre immediately after check-in. With a little cup of gumbo. Whee!

Sounds like so much fun, hope you are enjoying NOLA...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
We were last there for youngest DDs 21st birthday in September of 2015, and had a BLAST...!!!!!
We stayed at The Whitney, but, mostly hung out in the French Quarter...!!! :)
Googled the Monteleone, and loved their video...neat place...!!!!!

Another birthday party scheduling conflict for our lil’ Social Butterfly Emy today...yes, another birthday party...!!!!! :hilarious:
They went to an early mass in their area as did we at our church, and DD said the outfit was a repeat. Doubt the birthday party outfit will be, so I’ll get her to send me a pic...!!!!!;):)
