Very cool. Some great memories there. :)

It was your comment about the fire trucks that reminded me of when I was a kid, and our town had a 4th of July parade. We loved the fire trucks, because the firemen would throw Hoodsie ice cream cups to the kids! These ice cream cups (from Hood, a local dairy company) had a little wooden spoon inside -- it was oddly shaped, but I'd always manage to get all the ice cream out of the little cup! :hungry:

Even as old as I am, I remember those ice cream cups and tiny wooden spoons when I was a youngster. I'll bet that those spoons were soaked in some chemical that causes aging. I know that it is really starting to show up with me! There was a Hoods Dairy in our town and I had a close friend whose father worked there. I was in high school by then so it would have been extremely uncool to be eating Ice Cream with a bowtie spoon. It was alright to have some real fresh chocolate milk though. That was cool.... maybe! 🤔😕

Hope he is better. I always carry a mini first aid kit with me.
He's fine now, thanks. A first aid kit wouldn't have helped. He fell at school and they decided not to bandage him up because they were coming home soon and the scrape was too big for bandaids to cover. They did have gauze patches, but the teacher was afraid it would restrict his movement while biking. Well, the biking didn't work out anyway, but I just had him take a bath when we got home to get all the dirt out and everything, and he's good to go.

So we switched closets for the 2 girls switching rooms yesterday. I realized how much clothing my youngest has. She has the other girl’s hand me downs and she has new clothing. She has the most clothing of anyone in the house. We also have 4 garbage bags full of “to donate” clothing. So they were supposed to sleep in their new rooms yesterday. I woke up, and apparently they switched at night. Youngest is sad that oldest dd wants to repaint the walls in her room. To be honest, I am too because dh and I spent days painting it. I saw a baby room idea from Sherwin Williams and copied it completely. We then decorated with butterflies, so she is also sad about losing those. Anyway my dear middle dd came up with a brilliant idea. She said this morning that she can take a picture of the old walls and we can hang her butterfly mobile in a corner of their room. Then I remembered an episode of Full House when Jesse repainted one of the girls rooms and he kept a bit of the wallpaper and framed it. So I will print a picture, frame it, and hang it by her spot in her new room. Here is a picture of one corner of her old room.

I immediately thought of that episode of full house when you said she was sad about the walls being painted over....Stephanie being upset about the bunnies, so Jesse saves the one bunny. Good solution!
