She will finish, not an issue but the 1st and second will pay off all of Grad School by the time she would graduate. Decisions. Me all I can do is see she if fed and tell her she is pretty and smart. Rest is up to her. She has made good life choices and has taken her higher education seriously. Ya let go and let them fly.

That's tough, but good for her. Is there any way she could take the job and finish grad school?

I may have left gaps in the story. Oops. No matter what she will graduate in December. What career she holds until then is the only mystery. If she hangs onto her current position until then I’d expect her to move South like Georgia or similar.

Other than that, all I can say is that even though it hasn’t always been all puppies, lollipops, wine, and roses, I still, again, wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world...!!!!!!!

It’s really fun to see how’s she’s changed over the last 9 mos. She is much more aware of her surroundings now, and seems to be really trying to figure things out...and the memories come flooding back from when her mother and her mothers siblings were little ones...!!!!!

Well I walked the Lincoln Park zoo today photos should follow. It is sore but not painful. Advil now, bag of frozen peas and possibly some wine. Think I should get back on my bicycle this week

Last night, hubs gave him the tranquilizer pill that vet prescribed, for any stressful situation (such a holiday fireworks). Once the pill kicked in, he eventually went off to sleep, despite the loud fireworks in the area.

Meanwhile, he's up and energetic this morning. He's already gone dumpster diving in the little trash can that hubs has here in our computer room. I just had to yank away a paper towel he absconded (and was tearing to shreds) from the trash bucket -- he's such a lunatic.

Yep, as I’ve posted before, Belly Crazy Cakes has “Doggie Downers” for just such things, but, Ranger Danger is an oblivious goof...!!!!!

Well the heat wave broke this morning and the 90s heat streak with high humidity gone. Woot!!!

Off we went. Train to the City.


First stop Chicago pizza grinder one of my favorite places in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Hole in wall that is small and normally has a 1.5 hour to 3 hour wait, no reservation and cash only.

Salad with homemade creamy garlic and sweet and sour poppyseed dressing

This Mediterranean bread is awesome. I could eat just that. It is so huge that the hot bread is draped over a dinner plate to serve. Oil and a shaker of Mediterranean spices are served with it but ya really don’t need it.

Nom nom nom



The pizza grinder is baked in a small white bow upside down. When served it starts with the crust on to of the bowl. Server glides a spoon around the inside of bowl and plops it on a plate. This crust is never soft or soggy.
