End of a classic publication :( --

Oh my. Used to buy MAD Magazine all the time way back in the day (and to a lesser degree, “Cracked”, which was essentially a MAD ripoff).
Loved “Spy vs. Spy” and their TV and movie parodies...silly-fun stuff...!!! :)

That reminds me I need to find a way to save my pins as well. I got them all in a bag.

Yep, all my pins are still in bags here, as well.
And, I have yet to get the four Disney photostats and one Donald Duck partial animation drawing I have framed...not to mention a bunch of still-in-the-box merch I purchased, and special princess doll displays I won in drawings, etc., when I was a Disney Store CM.... :cyclops:
Time to add a Disney room...!!! ;)

Now this Dude has always had an attitude you can even see it in the photo. Last time he made it clear he didn’t like humans. He stood on that log above his head facing guests and proceeded to tell everyone off. He looked ya right in the eye.3377929A-9860-432D-841F-BF1DA29CFADA.jpegA

He concluded his outburst by grabbing down in man land and proceeded to take am at the group of guests. Thankfully he only relieved himself on the glass window but his intent was clear

He always just stares.

There is another ledge up and to left. Their hay and bed sheets had just been delivered, the one on the left took them all to upper left. Righty climbed up and took them all away. Lefty came down and took them all and divided them in half and their they both stayed

And how did he not think as a Royal his attire wasn’t going to catch some flack? It’s like he is 19 trying to define his identity again. Almost like he is defiantly saying I’m done with you People like his Dear Mom. Can’t say I blame him. Gotta love the shoes and socks.

Well the heat wave broke this morning and the 90s heat streak with high humidity gone. Woot!!!

Off we went. Train to the City.

First stop Chicago pizza grinder one of my favorite places in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Hole in wall that is small and normally has a 1.5 hour to 3 hour wait, no reservation and cash only.

Salad with homemade creamy garlic and sweet and sour poppyseed dressing

This Mediterranean bread is awesome. I could eat just that. It is so huge that the hot bread is draped over a dinner plate to serve. Oil and a shaker of Mediterranean spices are served with it but ya really don’t need it.

Nom nom nom

The pizza grinder is baked in a small white bow upside down. When served it starts with the crust on to of the bowl. Server glides a spoon around the inside of bowl and plops it on a plate. This crust is never soft or soggy.

Time to start the bail fund. The idiots are out in the rain shooting off fireworks waking James up to raid my fridge:cautious::rolleyes::mad::bawling::banghead:

I wonder how many boxes of lunacy they bought? Let's hope that they'll just get it out of their system by the end of this July 4th "weekend"?!! :banghead: Knock on wood, it hasn't been too bad around here this time, but we've had some doozies in recent years --at 2, 3 AM, with those jerks setting off the really loud fireworks.

No grilling for us yesterday. We had some severe thunderstorms with very heavy downpours. We lost power late yesterday afternoon, and it came on fairly quickly affterwards -- but, we had a surge when that happened and it blew out the server that hubs has to the computers here. Late last night, he found an old power supply from an old computer in his junk pile in the basement (he loves his junk piles . . . :p) and put it in. Voila -- we got our internet back!

Maybe it's just me, but I think he looks very nice. (Not seeing anything wrong with his outfit.)

So we switched closets for the 2 girls switching rooms yesterday. I realized how much clothing my youngest has. She has the other girl’s hand me downs and she has new clothing. She has the most clothing of anyone in the house. We also have 4 garbage bags full of “to donate” clothing. So they were supposed to sleep in their new rooms yesterday. I woke up, and apparently they switched at night. Youngest is sad that oldest dd wants to repaint the walls in her room. To be honest, I am too because dh and I spent days painting it. I saw a baby room idea from Sherwin Williams and copied it completely. We then decorated with butterflies, so she is also sad about losing those. Anyway my dear middle dd came up with a brilliant idea. She said this morning that she can take a picture of the old walls and we can hang her butterfly mobile in a corner of their room. Then I remembered an episode of Full House when Jesse repainted one of the girls rooms and he kept a bit of the wallpaper and framed it. So I will print a picture, frame it, and hang it by her spot in her new room. Here is a picture of one corner of her old room.

Very cool. Some great memories there. :)

It was your comment about the fire trucks that reminded me of when I was a kid, and our town had a 4th of July parade. We loved the fire trucks, because the firemen would throw Hoodsie ice cream cups to the kids! These ice cream cups (from Hood, a local dairy company) had a little wooden spoon inside -- it was oddly shaped, but I'd always manage to get all the ice cream out of the little cup! :hungry:

I actually remember eating hood ice cream cups in summer camp. In our last neighborhood in PA, a firetruck drove through our development Christmas Eve. Santa was in the back and he and other firefighters threw candy at the kids. I thought that was so awesome.
