Buddy, I remember your angst last year, too, about this procedure. ;) But, happy to say, you survived it!! And you'll be fine this time, too. :)

I had it done about 3 weeks ago, and as everyone agrees, drinking that prep solution is the worst, the day before. Just keep around things like yellow Gatorade, and lemon jello. Some docs let you also have lemon popsicles, but again, do what they tell you and be very careful about darker colored dyes like cherry, for example--avoid.

Anyway, got it over with and 2 pre-cancerous polyps were removed. This was the third time in maybe 20 years that I had the test. (My mother had colon cancer. So with the recent test, they have now put me on a 5-year recall.)
We have both had the procedure too. I have had it once. I get 10 years between cause no polyps. My DH has had three I think. All polyps. Went three years between the first two. Now he gets 5 years cause the last polyps were teeny.
I got my doctor to write a prescription for the half dose size since I am smaller. I had a really easy time. We also cut out all meat and anything with seeds in it the week before. It makes the day you take the medicine a bit more comfortable!😉

Not so hard with those fans, please! There was a tornado last night in Rheden....it's almost an hour from us, but still a little too close for comfort, and we're expecting more heavy storms tonight.
I told this before, I believe, but, as I was literally driving from Vermont to NC during my relocation, a tornado went through less then a mile from my new apartment. For the longest time you could see the path it took through the area by downed trees, (looked like someone parted the forest), damaged houses and large trees on top of cars and pickups. Welcome to NC it seemed to be saying.

We have had a number of watches since then but, happily, nothing has developed close by. Later that year, we had an earthquake the centered close to the Washington area and not to long after that Hurricane Sandy came storming up the coast. It did a number on the outer banks, but, actually caused more problems after it became a tropical storm and ran up through New England, Vermont included. Here in Raleigh it wouldn't have blown out a match.

In the "too much information" department, it has happened. I am officially in colonoscopy starvation mode for the procedure on Friday morning.

Tomorrow (Thursday) is going to be totally awful, but one day of GRRRRRRR is clearly better than colon cancer. I did it last year and they found and removed four pre-cancerous polyps, which is why I have to do it again.

This is a public service announcement to all of you who are 50 or older. JUST DO IT. The procedure sounds horrifying, but they knock you out, and you don't even know that it happened.

The only issue is the "prep" and the starvation, but it's just 24 hours. If I can do this, anyone can.

Also, this getting old garbage sucks.
If you mix your prep juice with Vodka it seems to help!!!! Just kidding, maybe! 🥴

I picked up our autograph books today! They turned out cute! 62043903_1177992989047172_4058142636089802752_n.jpg62062989_445129206064233_5865564208250224640_n.jpg

I used a mixture of pictures from all our trips. 2010, 2016, and DLP 2017. So, we have our magic band skins, our autograph books, a LOT of Minnie ears (but a few more to finish), our passports are all updated....I can pick mine up in a couple of weeks. I feel like I'm forgetting something important, but what??

Good luck Buddy. Hopefully all will be clean inside. 🙂

Wow we’ve only had 32.31 and I thought that was a lot! When did you put in the batteries? Maybe they need changing. But, on the other hand you could have had that much.😉
I think it is measuring the amount of rain by how it has felt. It sure has felt like 83 inches have fallen this year here. You have sure had a lot as well. Where is our ark @figmentfan423 ?

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Figgy and family would have to have a separate ark. If they were on the main one there would be less animals getting off than boarded ...

Numbers were posted and not names. Also those are not the final team rosters. Not all evaluations have been completed yet. Some people couldn’t make the evaluation and will have a private one. Those will not be official until the end of June. The coach sent out a letter today and said the teams are still fluid. She said she wants to see how the kids all work together the next few weeks and also figure out level placement. So a parent can tell their kid something, end up being totally wrong and then their kid is heartbroken.

Like I said on Friday or Saturday or Sunday or at some point this week, the days are all running together (😂)....

Final Rosters/Teams should not be available til anyone until all placement is accepted. A parent shouldn’t be doing that!!
In our team’s situation, a director should have never done it.

Both are equally wrong. Adults are ruining youth sports.
