Morning... still feeling groggy from Night time medicine.....
How are you feeling? Any better? When DS had something similar, he said the only thing that helped him was DayQuil. He won't take NyQuil because of the morning groggy feeling. I did a little research and DayQuil is the same stuff without the antihistamine that makes you feel that way. I always thought there was something in it that would make you stay awake. Nope.

Last day of school for me! My kids have been done for a couple of weeks.

Which brings me to the current drama. I got an email Friday that the summer camp for competitive dance that was supposed to start Monday was cancelled. No other word, so not sure if the school has decided it isn't happening, or just not the camp? DD is kind of at a loss. She isn't used to having so much down time.

Feeling a little better, except for the occasional hacking up a lung... My nose stopped running and my throat doesn't hurt anymore. Was talking with my boss today... and she was saying the Nyquil capsule make her restless at night too, but not the liquid. I'm pretty sure it was the capsules I took last time. I'm not sure how that would make a difference, (Maybe more concentrated?) But not being able to sleep one bit was awful. Last night I took mucinex night time liquid and slept pretty good.

Busy at both stores. 😊

Busy at home.

This week will be a marathon until we get to Marathon (Key.) 🤣

Finalized the hotel and the termite guy this morning. Setting plans in motion for “plussing” both stores by the 18th when the coalition comes to check them out, and the industry convention the following week. (Offered the guys running it to offer 15% off for all attendees. They accepted. Great PR there!)

Started packing up non-canned goods. Brian mowed the lawn 🙄 while I was at my store.

Gearing up for the eye doctor tomorrow afternoon, a store meeting Wednesday morning, cleaning up for houseguests arriving Thursday and termite walkthrough on Friday. (We have to disassemble part of the deck by then.)

Remembered to put a hold on the mail while we’re away, forgot to pay one store’s rent.

I’m leaving out about a hundred things. Heading to the gym in a bit. On a roll there, lately. Lost 4 pounds while building up in the right places lol.

I’d love to find time for my TR’s! Met several WDWMAGIC folks already this year.
Whew....sounds like you are burning the candle at both ends! How are Brian's eyes? Can he see a bit more clearly yet? And WHY was he mowing the lawn? I thought he was supposed to be taking it easy!!

Crazy weekend. We stayed in Marathon 9 years ago this week. We were celebrating my birthday. We were in a time share. It was so beautiful. We did the dolphin encounter that was up or rather down A1A. That was an awesome trip. Good luck with the tenting and with the eye doctor. Is Brian seeing better yet?
Wait....when is your birthday? Happy birthday!!

Actually I can't take nyquil... last time I took it, I could not sleep at all...it was horrible! It didn't have that effect when I was younger, I'm not sure why it does now.
Weird! I can't do nyquil because it knocks me out too fast. I only took it once. I was in college, and I was miserable, so I got some nyquil. I took one dose, and I had just taken a shower so I needed to dry my hair. I figured I'd be fine because usually it takes things a bit to work into your system. So I take the Nyquil, and I climb up on the counter to plug in the hair dryer (there was only one outlet, and it was above the mirror, so you had to climb on the counter to get to it) and my roommate starts shouting at me to get down right now, because I was swaying. I was already loopy within a minute or two of taking it. I didn't like that feeling, so I never took it again.

OK, the good news re: today’s eye doctor visit:

The gas bubble is down to 15%.

Eye drops reduced from 3x day to 2x.

Eye pressure went down from an alarming 32 to 12.

No more sleeping face down, just not on his back (which he is doing right now :banghead:.)

Reading the eye chart with that eye went very well. (The bubble was cooperating and staying out of the way.) He got down several lines, to the point I had to put my glasses on to read the last one.

There is still more recovering to do, but it looks like the surgery did what it was supposed to do, and we should be “back to our normal” soon enough.

The bad news: none. 😊
Oh you had me worried with the "good news:" 😄 So glad that it seems to be getting better! Maybe find some wood to knock on, just in case!!

My poor DD and SIL were supposed to fly out at 2:30 EST starting their trip to LA. Mechanical problems with their plane. Now not leaving until 6:50 heading nonstop to Baltimore then catch a 10 pm nonstop to LA. Get there around 1 PST. I feel so bad for them to be stuck at their airport for 5 hours!😟
Oh no!!! Will it affect their plans? 5 hours is a pretty large block of time! Think what you can do in Disney in that time! We had a 7 hour delay on our way home from our first trip with the kids. It was NO FUN! 7 hour delay with a 2 year old and a 4 year old, plus it was an international flight for which you had to check in 3-4 hours before the flight. So we were stuck in that airport for something like 10 hours. Of course we missed our connection, and so many people had the same connection that rather than put everyone on other flights, they chartered a bus from Amsterdam to Dusseldorf Germany. So we landed in Amsterdam, had to get our luggage, go through passport check, etc, and then get on a bus for 3 hours instead of a 35 minute flight. And they lost one of our car seats for the kids and broke one of our suitcases. I'm just glad it was on the way home and not on the way there!!! That would sure put a damper on your trip!

It affects my DD that same way. She has tried a couple of times since college and cannot take it. She is all over the place--feels like she's drunk.

Well, this is a new Universal Hotel, not on property. It's not even going to be open until July sometime. It is Universals Endless Summer Resort. Average $115.00 per night before tax and occupancy. Shuttle to the parks. Rooms with two queen size beds. I'm not going until September. They are not luxury, maybe 3.5 stars at best.
Hey, whatever works. A vacation is a vacation, right?

No they are just super tired. They were extremely aggravated with SW though. She had to pay an upcharge to get on the plane in Baltimore to just get seats. I just heard from her about an hour ago. She drove her husband to pick up a motorcycle he rented for today and tomorrow. He is taking a drive to Joshua Tree and then meeting a buddy and riding the PCH. She has a conference for work that starts at 1 today and runs until Thursday. They do DL Sat and Sun. And fly back home on Monday.
