That should be brought in to a garage and connected to the magical scanner Diagnostic Tool. It is the plug in that tells them about everything that is good and what is acting up. Wouldn't that be a handy tool to have if it worked on humans?

It would BUT, even with the diagnostic tool for cars, sometimes multiple codes can come up. So it's not like it's a one and done. Rather, it's often do this, do that, and do the other thing and maybe the problem can finally be traced and fixed.

And you get charged for all the labor until they figure it out, and possibly some new parts you have to buy, (that may or may not have been the actual problem). So code readers can only do so much. Kinda like doctors, actually. ;)

True, but, when you are out in the middle of winter or a heavy rain and the car decided not only is it going to stop lighting up those pesky little lights on the dashboard. but, it is going to stop completely. Then you can pay for towing it first and then either pay for a rental car and repairs, that you have been putting off or buy another car. I fail to see where anyone comes out ahead with that scenario.

Of course, that is easy for me to say since I have a 4 year warranty on mine, however, I do seem to remember one time when I opened up the dashboard on my mini-van and took out the Check Engine light bulb and then ran the van another 90K miles not knowing if there was a problem or not. Must be there wasn't because I sold it and every morning on my way to work, the guy that bought it would pass me on the interstate. At the time engine systems were no where near as sophisticated as they are today. I knew the light went on because it was time for the omission system to be checked out by the dealer. As far as I was concerned it was working just fine.

Yep, once they start takin' the car out on their own, it's just one more thing for a parent to worry about... 🤔
But, cell phones now make checking in a bit easier than having to pull over and find a payphone somewhere...!!! ;)

Yikes!!!
3 or 4 days would be more than enough for me...!!!!!!!!!!! :eek:o_O:D
Yea, I didn't have that cell phone advantage and both my daughters had part time jobs 30 miles away and they had to drive back and forth in all kinds of weather. Only once did one of them decide to stay overnight at my parents home because of a snow storm. My parents lived about a mile from the McDonalds where she was working. It was all interstate between their work and home so no way to contact us if something happened. And they both worked in different places with somewhat different schedules so I had to worry in double.

An avocado chocolate pudding terrarium. So darn good. You’d never know there was avocado in that @Rista1313 I also tried the farmhouse meatball(impossible burger) on lentil bread. That was yummy too. It had some sort of Indian / Moroccan spicing. Want the recipe for the spices at least.
That actually looks delish!

Could be worse. The teenager wanting to buy their own car.

I am mentioning this because my dad was forced to sell his first car by his parents. I forget the model, but it was very fancy brand new car that my dad saved lots for with him working multiple jobs at the time without his parents paying for it. Back in my dad's high school days, other students thought my dad had the coolest cars.

When My dad's parents saw the brand new fancy car after he bought it, they said basically said you are not going own that car and also pointed out the cost of insurance to him due to the nature of that car.

At least by the time my dad was dating my mom, he was able any car he wanted. My dad had a Dodge Charger when he dated my mom.

What's the coolest thing I've seen today you ask?

So we went out to eat and I had parked behind a tesla. When we left we got in the car and the Tesla started up and started moving across the parking lot with NO DRIVER! I was freaking out...... and then as we pulled out the dude and his family came out and gave me a silly grin... he had essentially moved his car so I could pull straight out. It was crazy, and amazing, and definitely the coolest thing I've seen all day, maybe all month!

Tacos sound good, too...there was still a lot of leftover taco salad luncheon munchies from yesterday in the office fridge. I had some more for lunch today, and there is enough left in the fridge for a few more lunches tomorrow before I scoot outta’ there at 1p for Half-day Friday...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hungry:;):)

Really like your photos -- nice variety! As for the redesign of the WOD, I don't like it at all. Far prefer the older style, as I thought it was a lot more fun in there. The new design is too "mall-ish" for my tastes. Regardless, I'm glad you had fun --did you buy any souvenirs? How did your children like the store?

Definitely agree with you on the new WoD design. I get the simplification, less “clutter”, streamlining, etc. But, it all looks like every other retail store, instead of uniquely Disney.

@Cesar R M , how is your new job going these days? Hopefully, it's a lot less stressful than your previous one.
actually, its more stressful lol, so many projects and things to do at same time. Problem is, some staff thinking I somehow know all about the projects that started before I joined and expect me to produce information that I do not know. The boss in the other hand is fine. just few stuff there and here.

Only way I dislike is the way the time is counted. I am sitting 9-10 hours a day, but I only clock less than 6 hours. Because the tracking system does not count idle time, long conversations between staff, restroom breaks..etc..

On the good side, the pay is 1.5X times what I used to earn before. So since I'm doing small work on the older job and work fully on the new one, I'm earning around 2X what I used to earn. So I hopefully will pay all my debts in 6 months.
