Yeah, we all felt nauseated after Ratatouille in Paris, and DS gets nauseated during IMAX movies, so I'm wondering how we'll do on FoP. It may end up being a one and done for us, as excited as I am to try it. I do get motion sickness, but I have some seaband things and plan to bring dramamine so I can maybe do BTMR and SDMT, and also not get sick on the boats between the resorts and parks. But I don't know if those will help with simulator rides or not.
I looked at all the food places at UNI listed in the books and there's nothing I'm really excited about except for Three Broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron, so the only ADR I'm planning to make is for the Minion breakfast at our resort. The rest we'll play by ear, and probably end up leaving the park for dinners.
Ratatouille also made me nauseated but I am perfectly fine on FoP. I hope it will be the same for you as it is the most amazing ride.

Well, I was never supposed to be doing all the planning myself. C's daughter is involved in tumbling, and she qualified for nationals last year that were held in Florida. I think she posted something on Facebook about going to Universal Studios, and I responded, or maybe she saw me respond to someone else's post about Universal....anyway, she commented on it and said they might be going while L was at nationals. Then I said we were planning to go this year in combination with Disney, and she messaged me and said they were also planning to go to Disney to celebrate her dad and step-mom quitting smoking, and we should try to coordinate our trips so we could see each other. And then since we were coordinating, we thought we should invite my brother, too. We had 3 days together in South Dakota in 2016, and had a great time, but we only did Mount Rushmore, Keystone, and Spearfish Canyon together, and a few meals. It wasn't like....the whole vacation together. But her brothers didn't go on that trip....it was her, her daughter, her dad, and her step-mom. And my brother, his husband and their daughter. This time, it's C AND her brothers' families and their dad and step-mom, and it's my brother's family and his husband's family. So twice the people, and I'm the only one with current Disney knowledge, so no one is working with me because they think they can just show up and get everything done in 4 days that they want to do without planning. But they are all supposed to be doing the planning for their groups and we are supposed to coordinate so we can do some things together. It's just turning into me doing everything because they don't realize you actually need to plan anything. Their idea of planning seems to be limited to the general dates of the trip and where they are staying. It does not include things like fastpasses, ADRs, or even having a list of "must do" attractions/shows, or even knowing what attractions and shows are available. They seem to think they will get there and just see what looks fun and do it. I tried to explain fastpass and ADRs to them, etc...but I can't do much beyond that. I have the stuff for my group planned. If they don't do their planning, then I guess we won't be doing much together.

That being said, I have to say I'm glad my brother's group is only there for the first week of our trip so that we have the 2nd week where we don't have to consider anyone else's feelings, we can just do what we want to do. Everyone else will be gone, and we won't be relegated to doing things that we're not interested in just because the others haven't experienced it. I'm excited to get to introduce my neice to all the fun stuff (if they don't end up canceling on us) But, I am glad we have a week without them, plus our universal segment and the time in between the two...so we still have more than 2 weeks of vacation without the rest of the family. I couldn't do more than a week with the big group.

I wouldn't do anything additional for them, to be honest. You tried to explain to them and they didn't want to hear it. So if they want to go and "wing it" let them.

For those of you who also look at the Bob Saget thread, this topic will be something you saw me mention over there.
Yet for my exclusively Chit Chat thread friends, I'm not just gonna say I like the weather in May...additionally, I'm composing a little song too!

When all of us are experiencing the seemingly never ending winter, we complain about the snow and the ice.
So now that winter is a distant memory, I just want to say......
(cue the violins & trumpets)

Yeah it is early. 7am at MK used to be reserved for Holiday Break times. I can easily do 7am but then I’m done by mid evening.
I am a morning person, but even for me 7 is too early. In order to get there for rope drop you have to be up by 5:30 to make sure everyone is ready to head out the door because of transportation.

We were at MK at 6:45 on Christmas Morning and the park was near empty for a couple hours. It was really peaceful, on a day we were told would be the WORST. Some things are worth waking up for.

Of course I'm up at either 4 or 5 every weekday anyway, LOL

This post and Goofyernmost's made me laugh. The reason is that it's not unusual for one spouse to ask the other, "does this outfit make me look overweight?" To which the spouse being queried always responds (if he or she wants to keep the peace), "no" ... :p (I even recall this same scenario with my own parents, back in the day.! :joyfull: )

:hilarious:
I, honestly, never heard either of my folks ask "Do these pants make my butt look big?", or anything of the sort...I've never been asked, and I've certainly never asked, as I already know my butt looks big, no matter what...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :D :hilarious:

I saw a report on the early news this morning about a big alligator in Houston, Texas, that was pulled away (the man had rope to catch it). The alligator was in a residential community, and I guess due to all the rains and some flooding, he managed to swim into that area, which freaked out the residents! :jawdrop: I'd be freaked out, too, if I saw one of those big guys strolling around the neighborhood!

Yep, not somethin' ya' wanna' run into out of the blue when ya' open your front door...!!!!! ;)
But, there are swamps/bogs down around the Houston area, and along the Texas coast, so there are plenty of gators down that way...
