It's raining again that is all I can say without getting banned:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Oh no! I actually see a blue sky here. I haven’t bothered to see if clouds will be rolling in. I know there is a chance for rain tomorrow and cooler temperatures. The only good thing about the rain is that the ground is so wet, I had no problem weeding yesterday. Of course, if we wouldn’t have had so much rain, we wouldn’t have as many weeds.

It wasn’t like coarse, it just was not like very fine type that I have seen elsewhere. Guessing it is just geography and as @Goofyernmost said, maybe a lot of that sand was brought in from further offshore at one point. The beach was beautiful and very wide. I think the water temperature was only 62, which is way too cool for me. There were some people, possibly related to you ;) that had no problem jumping right in.
I grew up in the part of the Atlantic that hardly ever saw a visit from the gulf stream. I don't remember it bothering me much as a kid other then a slight increase in the pitch of my voice. I do remember my kids playing in the water in southern Maine and having to call them in once their lips started to get bluish looking. That last part isn't an exaggeration. 🥶🥶

There would be a lack of eating due to the shock if jar sauce was served, note to self buy some jar sauce:angelic:
Don't tell them... It has been my experience due to my lifelong fate of being a male, that without the source showing, men don't know squat. I have a SIL that is one of the pickiest eaters I have ever seen. He is just insistent that some thing be made "like his mamma" made them, from scratch. Otherwise, he will just push it aside and eat junk food. Since my daughter works full time she is pressed for the time that "his mamma' had to cook things, so she hides the source and takes the compliments from him about how good dinner was. What he doesn't know apparently doesn't hurt him. :D

I think if he pulled that line with me, I'd tell him he was welcome to make his own dinner and I'd give him a tour of the kitchen. I do make a lot of things from scratch, but not everything, and I do what I have the time to do.

Laugh of the day..

Read job description for a "Desktop Support Specialist".
In the bottom.. huge requirements of SQL knowledge and tons of experience on Oracle Databases.

To resume: they wanted a Database Manager/Administrator, but wanted to pay for a Support Specialist (the database guys earn usually 3 to 5 times more than the support ones)

Either way is fine, but IMO, I think you look younger without the beard. (Just my observation only.)

Thanks, Minnie!!! :)
And, not just your observation...everyone, including myself, said it made me look older.
But, then again, when does a dude wearing a beard ever make him look younger...?!?!?! :cyclops:
Just older to varying degrees, I guess...?
And, apparently, in my case, A LOT older according to DWifey...!!!!! :hilarious:
But, as I pointed out before, she may be a bit biased against facial hair...!!!!! :D ;) :)
