It took me 2 hours, but I finished The Pearl, and I have to admit that I enjoyed it more than when I read it in high school. Does anyone want to discuss it who remembers it? I was shocked by the ending.
I have yet to start packing for my weekend away at VA Beach. 3 of us are going. Oldest, youngest, and me. We are carpooling with one of the moms and her kid. We plan on hitting Jamestown Settlement for a field trip on the way down. on Friday. The weather is supposed to be nice so far.Trying to pack for this weekend.... because I have time.... Men's clothes are so much bulkier than women's. I got 3 dresses, 3 leggings, undies, and socks and PJ's all in a medium packing cube for myself. I had to use a medium and small for hubby and just realized I forgot his PJ bottoms!
I haven't read it, yet, but it sounds like I should put it on the list.It took me 2 hours, but I finished The Pearl, and I have to admit that I enjoyed it more than when I read it in high school. Does anyone want to discuss it who remembers it? I was shocked by the ending.
Only 90 pages. Would have been done faster if I didn't have mom things to do.I haven't read it, yet, but it sounds like I should put it on the list.
@RedNoseMickey would it surprise you @Mr Ferret 88 is James hero
That's one I haven't read. Do you recommend it?I am currently rereading "The Pearl" by Steinbeck since my kids need to read it for class.
I'm sure you are, I'll grab my Winnie the Pooh pyjamas and I'll be right over. Where do you live again?
That would be a personal choice, I've never tried that pot dish so can't comment.
Yes.That's one I haven't read. Do you recommend it?
I have liked all of the Stienbeck novels I have read, but that only amounts to 3. I'd like to read Cannery Row and The Winter of our Discontent, and I wouldn't mind reading East of Eden again, though that one is HUGE. But I liked it, so I just need to make time for it.Yes.
Recently I've been reading John Grisham novels. Every time I finish one I go to the library and get another. Each one is totally different yet they are all excellent.I have liked all of the Stienbeck novels I have read, but that only amounts to 3. I love the food pictures. Reminds me of when my kids did that. I always got a kick of their tiny tongues trying to lick up the bowl. And...the shove blankets, etc. in the swing so the kid doesn't fall out.
I live in northern Wisconsin. The weather isn't too bad now, no snow on the ground and flowers are starting to pop up. You just wouldn't want to visit in January or February, lots of cold and snow.
You’re welcome!Oh so that's why those white towels were there in the swing with Emy! I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on with the white towels stuff in there!
Because one can exist in Northern Wisconsin, but, it can hardly be called living. Have you noticed how many times they have left Wisconsin to actually enjoy life? I rest my case! If it wasn't for northern weather, Disney Parks would be ghost towns. Why not?
My sister in law lives in Newport News, but she's on her way to Disney because my niece has cheerleading summit this weekend.I have yet to start packing for my weekend away at VA Beach. 3 of us are going.
