I forgot to entertain you last night with my funny antics of cutting my finger pretty badly with a butter knife. It took forever for it to stop bleeding long enough for me to get some liquid bandage on it.

Moral of the story: don't try to pry frozen things apart with a butter knife.
Well, that does sound like something I would do....but then I managed to nearly cut the tip of my pinky off cleaning my counter. That pinky is still misformed 3 years later.

Thanks! Both of us have done sewing. The velvet ones we ended up taking to my MIL and doing on the sewing machine because it wasn't working to get them even by hand because the edges kept rolling up, and it's stretchy. But the rest we've just done by hand...I did the Cinderella ones, and she did Rapunzel, I did both of the Carrots ones, though, because those were really tricky to get the bandana done in the right way. But she did the Ariel ones by hand....that's when we decided to do the velvet ones on the machine, because she had such a hard time with those. DD made the swords on the Carrots ones, and she made the skulls look a bit old and such....they were bright white plastic, so she kind of painted and distressed them a bit, and she also made the bow and arrows on the Brave ones.
A truly amazing job! I love them!!!!

Thanks! We're not done yet. We still have to make my pair of Little Mermaid ones, and we are also doing a Lady and the Tramp pair, and a Winnie the pooh and Piglet pair. Those last two pairs will be unique. DD made her own homemade tsum tsums of Lady, Tramp, Pooh, and Piglet, and instead of making the round ears, the tsum tsums will be the ears, and then instead of bows in the middle, the Lady and the Tramp ones will have spaghetti and meatballs....well, I guess there is a small white and red checkered bow, like the tablecloth. I'm not sure what she's planning for the middle of the Winnie the Pooh ones. And I have one more pair of Elsa ones I'm making because I didn't like the way the first one turned out....too big, and the ears don't stay upright. And I kind of want to make Anna ones as well, only I'm not sure how. And we need something more for the Brave ones...I'm going to the market tomorrow to see if I can find a miniature brown teddy bear. Wish me luck!
Sounds amazing! Cannot wait to see pictures. Good luck!!!

Of course, I'm a great hostess!
I'm sure you are, I'll grab my Winnie the Pooh pyjamas and I'll be right over. Where do you live again?

Thanks for the warning. Although I've hear there are special restaurants in Amsterdam with some sort of pot dish, should I skip those as well?!;):)
That would be a personal choice, I've never tried that pot dish so can't comment. :joyfull:

Well, we were unsucessful in our search for miniature bears. We did find a substitute though. There are numerous stands at the market that sell sewing notions, and there was one that had some carved wooden buttons with a sort of celtic design, and also some little bear-shaped buttons. We got 3 of each, and DD painted the bears brown and we will attach them to the wooden buttons. I think it will look pretty cool. I also found some interfacing and ironed that on my dark green velvet so I can make my mermaid ears. There was some cool material that looked like scales, but they only had gold and bright pink, neither of which screamed Ariel to me. Hopefully the interfacing will make the velvet easier to work with.

I love the food pictures. Reminds me of when my kids did that. I always got a kick of their tiny tongues trying to lick up the bowl. And...the shove blankets, etc. in the swing so the kid doesn't fall out.:hilarious:

I'm so impressed with the ears you and DD made, they are truly wonderful. Can't wait to see the Brave buttons with the bears on them, sounds super cute.

Early evening Safari and they were a stubborn group. First mom tries to cross baby as soon as truck came close. Baby had a bit more sense and made sure truck stopped

A bit later in the Safari 2 rino’s Side by side came out in front of truck and we just had to wait then follow.

And the Lion lifted his head as if to say Safari is now closed. Go away.

Trying to pack for this weekend.... because I have time.... Men's clothes are so much bulkier than women's. I got 3 dresses, 3 leggings, undies, and socks and PJ's all in a medium packing cube for myself. I had to use a medium and small for hubby and just realized I forgot his PJ bottoms!
