Please don't tell me you buy parmesan from the pasta aisle. 2 words wood pulp
I lived in Parma Italy for awhile and would go to a farm where they made Parmesan cheese. They had a small shop at the farm where you could buy their cheese. So much cheaper than anywhere else and the taste was just amazing. I usually bought the longest aged parmesan that crumbled when you tried to cut it. In Italy they serve this aged cheese as an appetizer with some clear honey and crispy bread. :inlove:

The white carp is now sticking to the roads, coming down hard all day. I think I need to close the blinds and just look at pics and videos of blue skies and palm trees. Absolutely ridiculous.

And, thank you all for letting me vent. Otherwise, I think I would have lost my mind by now.
I'm sorry you are stuck with bad weather.
Hopefully this picture will help keep you sane until the white stuff melts. IMG_20180325_112938-EFFECTS.jpg

mmm I still haven't seen Mickey bars in town here... we have mint chocolate chip and brownie swirl klondike bars in the freezer right now.
I only have a tiny freezer, one of those inside a fridge, so no ice cream in mine. Just frozen fruit, some chicken and beetroot burgers. Probably better I don't have room for ice cream as I have no self control when it comes to sugary treats.

The snow is ugly, but your doggie is adorable! Did you make the sweater? Very cute.
No, I am not talented to make that. It is nice and warm for her for winter, or I guess spring snow. Today we have heavy rains, on top of the water from the snow melting so quickly. I made her wear her little red coat. It keeps her dry, but she hates it.

I told you not to send this carp over here. When we got out of the comedy show it was raining/sleeting.... by the time we took the long walk to our car it was snowing.... I am like you.... losing my mind... Where the bleep is spring!?
Sorry about that. Today is a new day. I a man thinking I should have spent the snow day building an ark.

Recently, I saw the DVD of Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt). So this remake was pleasant, but I honestly thought it lacked the heart and soul of the original.

I think Julie Andrews just had this innate "sparkle" that shone through, even when she'd state the rules to the children to be obedient. She was effective in getting her point across, but always in a quite charming way (both to children and adults).

Emily Blunt played the role a bit less warmly. (This may have been what the director wanted, to give the remake a slightly different spin, and not a carbon copy of the original.) Loved the costume design.

Overall: Mary Poppins (original) - 100%
Remake of Mary Poppins - 75%
If it had been a remake, I don't think I would have bothered to watch it. But as a sequel, I really enjoyed it. I think the surviving Sherman brother that received a consulting credit, did more than consult.
