Scary. In my state, it's rare that we get tornadoes, and if so, it's the way lesser intensity and quicker duration ones.
The closest I ever came to one was a few years ago. There was a tornado watch for a large area. So, I'm sitting on a train on the way home from work that evening (it was light out, in the summer), and the train stopped briefly for a rail crossing signal. Looking out the window, I could see some huge clouds above, and all of a sudden, I saw rotation. Completely freaked me out watching this. (Then, I noticed that everyone on my side of the train car was fixated at the clouds above as well.) Luckily, it didn't turn into a tornado, but that was close enough for me! P.S.: There was one tornado (an F1) that landed about 15 miles from where I saw the rotation.
The clouds trying to circle was the strongest thing!
I’ve never seen an actual tornado. Hoping to keep that trend!
