Yep, both Whataburger and P. Terry’s are very good...!!!!! :hungry::)
But, you’d hafta’ travel all the way to Austin for P. Terry’s, as it’s an Austin original founded in 2005 with 14 locations, and 2 more opening soon...another in the Austin area, and one in San Marcos, TX about 45 mins. south of Austin on I-35.
Whataburger, on the other hand, was founded in Corpus Christi, TX in 1950, and has 824 locations across the southwestern, southern, and southeastern US.
I hafta’ admit, until I Googled, I didn’t even realize they had that many locations across that much territory...!!! :cyclops:;):)
P. Terry’s has more standard burger fare, along with a chicken sandwich and a veggie burger of their own recipe, and really good thin, skin-on fries.
Whataburger also has standard burger fare and great fries, but, they also have some really awesome specialty burgers, as well as a patty melt on Texas toast that is to die for...!!!!!!! :hungry::happy:
Sounds great. I'm sure there are many things in Texas that are enjoyable.
Two places on my "some day we should go" list are:
Texas and Missouri

Yum Cranberry Sauce. :hungry:

There is one window here that whistles LOUDLY in strong winds. In 65mph there isn't the thing called sleep. Still not as annoying a someone Snoring ...

In the middle of windstorm night #1 about 3am I got up and hunted down my headphones and slammed them in my ears...it blocked out about 70% of the wind whistles volume.
The like is for the headphones. Homemade cranberry sauce with orange in it. I hid some for today:angelic:

Last year when we stayed at Pop at the beginning and end of the month it was at Pop refurbished room with the one queen dropping down from the wall. 1st time back by the lake and at the end of the long trip I was in a priority room by main pool/lobby so different housekeepers. When we were in the room one day the housekeepers never put the bed back up. It rained down across the table, Bed was made just not returned to its spot so if you wanted to use table you had to put it back yourself. And there wasn't really a spot for the 'chairs' that went with table when the bed was down. That was ackward but still the set up is so much better than it was with 2 full beds.

We did that once for Mousefest and never returned to Pop until last year. My Draw to always staying at a Disney Branded Resort was always the transportation and EMHs Now there are less and less EMHs so that perk is fading. Now with Uber for a few dollars we tend to Uber frequently to the parks or nearest hotel at MK so transportation with Uber and Lyft has been a deal changer. Staying at 4 and 5 star resort is new and novel the last few years and we are enjoying the pampering. We will likely continue to stay at Disney Resorts for our long trip each year, this year it will be BLT, something we have never done.
The lazy river at Bonnet Creek Hilton is so nice as is their themed pool area and Lobby. That December trip it was less per night than Pop. What we are pricing out now for Flower and Garden Swan, Bonnet and the Wyndham the ones on Disney Property proper are still coming in cheaper than the moderates and the values. I'm loving the change of pace (place) In the Winter sometime I want to stay GayLord Palms during the ice castle playground time. That would be so much fun. It is off property but still only a stone throw.

It is on my Bucketlist

Oops. I forgot Alaska. In my mind I pictured the US's lower 48 and mentally went across the map as I sat in my comfy chair posting on my laptop.
Poor Alaska has Canada in the way and I overlooked her!
So that puts my already been to states at 19.
I'm not counting airport layover states. I've had layovers in Michigan and Colorado but I never left the airport and saw the state so I don't think they should count. ;)
