That's interesting you would say that because last night me and a friend at work were talking about that time being the golden time of basketball. Not just because of Jordan but there seemed to be a lot of great forward/point guard duos like John Stockton and Karl Malone, Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton and of course Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. I haven't followed along as closely as I want to but I would sure love to see some real greatness in professional basketball again.

Greatness has existed from 1999-present. They are called the San Antonio Spurs. ;)

I went to University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, just a small state school. My old roommates and I usually get together once a year, we graduated in 2000, but it is the first time we have gotten back together in the town of our university. I live somewhat close, so I'm happy for the short drive. It is the 3rd weekend in a row I won't be home.

Fun! Yep, those University of Wisconsin campuses really vary in size. My DS went to Carthage which was right across the road from UW-Parkside.

I did see them scooping something as I walked past.

Both of my kids have managed a good sized waterpark and train lifeguards. They have tricks of the trade for removing such things as not to attract attention. Disney is an Ellis Guard park as is the WaterPark my kids managed. They share trade secrets. My DD who still moonlights as a manager and trainer last year managed to pull one out of the Lazy River with nobody noticing. It wound up being a nice sized wood chip. :joyfull:

Yes! You are correct! I have always loved the Spurs and since my Sonics are gone I should start watching them.

Not too many people outside of the San Antonio area watch them or are fans. Definitely a small market team. But also the most consistent franchise in American sports in recent times.

It is also tough for me to live in Dallas with a bunch of Mavs fans. haha

I stopped watching when Jordan retired. :(

Jordan was great for the first few years it was great. But it became as redundant as he was. Last I heard the weirdo house of his was still for sale, those who can afford the compound don't want it.

But times got ugly with all that greatness on one team. Too many egos and the Big guy causing trouble for many.
It got old quickly.

Hu, I have never heard of them switching to Syrup.
Maybe it was for export only?
Mexicans take their coke very seriously.

A lot of cokes have failed when they tried to insert their weird "new" flavours, just saying..

Nope the export to US is sugar cane, Mexican for domestic use went to Corn Syrup in 2013. Don't know if they reversed that or not. It is an easy Google search. Wouldn't make any sense to for the US to import Corn Syrup Coke as the cost of transporting that would be ridiculous as the price of 6 bottles of Mexican Coke here.

Well sometimes not seeing them is good. Could you imagine if we weren't able to drive away? I mean Disney is all about magical moments but that no thank you.

It is fun knowing exactly where the deep ditches are and the blockages that are put in place that we don't see that keeps us in safe harbor. I've learned so much from the ManChild.
