For @wdwmagic...
My first post this evening took 6 tries and the first 4 times all my text was gone and I had to start over completely. I’ve also been knocked off the site twice, so far.
With this post I’ve been reloaded 3 times and had to start over twice.
Other posts tonight have been similar...excruciating.
Don’t know what else I can do except keep reporting what I’m experiencing...
Can you look at this towards the end https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/ios-app-crashing.949146/
And can we continue it in that thread? Thanks

My 17 year old daughter is considering joining "indoor color guard"....it is an activity that practices Tues. and Thurs. (Jan. -April) from 7pm to 9pm.
She asked me hypothetically..IF she joined that, how late would I allow her to stay up beyond that before she had to pack up her school stuff and start brushing her teeth and changing to pjs? I said 11pm. That would put her on schedule to actually to be lights out around 11:30pm. She gets up each morning at 5:35am. She thinks she can function well on less sleep than that. What say any of you? Especially those who have raised children that are already 17 or well beyond. I am setting a reasonable guideline or should I allow her to go to bed at midnight even though she gets up at 5:35am?

Kids seem to be able to do that... I get up at 530am, and I'm in bed by 10... asleep by 1030 at the lastest (usually 1001p) but Winter guard (indoor color guard) is an experience she won't get in her adult life... So I would say let her go for it.

Schedule for the concerts is always subject to change. Just keep an eye on the dates, and you might get lucky.
We caught Richard Marx one year and that was awesome. For a couple of years in the early thousands we saw Orleans during the time we went. I really enjoyed listening to them. Put a couple of their songs on Google Play. Then it was Garden Rocks and no longer Flower Power. One of the brothers also passed suddenly and they stopped playing Epcot.

Good for her to want to do an extracurricular activity. I think someone her age should get at least 7-8 hours sleep a day. The body needs to recover. Also melatonin is produced in the body between 11 pm and 2 am. I would have her try and get to bed at 11. Here is an article about melatonin and the importance of it. https://draxe.com/melatonin-dosage/

Thank you @MySmallWorldof4 :) .......hmm.....two conflicting opinions passed on to me thus far.
The floor is still open for others to chime in ;)

Is she doing any AP classes? The reason I ask is the homework load that comes with it. By the time DS was a junior, a regular homework night would have him up until midnight or one. That is with 3 AP classes. On Monday night, with jazz band from 7-9, well, luckily that wasn't usually the crazy homework night. Those usually fell on concert nights. I remember running out the door as fast as we could so he could gat started. Up at 6 next morning to start all over.

DD is 15, a sophomore, and we don't even try with a bed time. She is already carrying an AP and all honors classes. She has lots of different activities after school between poms and band. As long as she can get herself up and moving, and maintains her grades, it is all good.

Oh she should do it for sure, but try and get her in bed by 11.
Some days she is home by 2:05pm.....on late bus days she is home by 3:20pm. There IS time to do homework in the late afternoon. she prefers the "study" for test and quizzes to be in the evening.
Thanks everyone. I must focus on my school job now. I'll check your responses on my lunch time later. :)

I say, go with your gut and not other people's opinions.
You've known her all her life, none of us know her at all.
JMO. ;)
