When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
So, today was my "big" cleaning lady day. 8 hours, 9-5, $130 ....
And exactly 17 minutes after the door closed behind her - the cat barfed all over the kitchen floor.
8 minutes after that, the two working boys returned home, tracking mud all over the hardwood.
An hour after that, Hubby replaced the bathroom exhaust fan, sending 7-8 years' worth of accumulated dust and dead skin cells from one end of my sparkling white bathroom to the other.

Some days are like that. Even in Australia.

I don't have any Levi's from China. Mexico, Egypt and Columbia but no China Levi's.

The Levi Strauss Company pulled out of China in the early 90's due to "revelations" about using prison labor and other human rights violations in the factories where their product was being produced. But, they have been producing them there again since 2008. The vast majority of Levi's are made in other countries.

We're getting another 1-5 inches Friday night into Saturday morning!

I want to see the green sprouts on the trees, then I want to dig a hole and stick a plant in it all while feeling the warm sun on my skin.

I've never gotten a good picture of the lion so I was pretty excited. The cheetah was walking around a lot too but my pictures of it were blurry but it was nice to see it moving around.

Last years the two Ladies were chasing each other around the King while we were on the Safari, he lifted his head and just watched the show, priceless. It was early evening and it had rained a good chunk of the day and they seemed to be having a great time. Best safari we had in years.

@ajrwdwgirl , I also want to thank you for not bringing/using a selfie stick to have your picture taken at DHS! My gosh, you must have actually asked some kind person to take that lovely picture of you with the gorgeous, unobstructed Chinese Theater behind you! I'd say that is a double win!! :joyfull:
I'm actually envious of him.
I had the skeleton of the BAH blocking my view :(

Oh quick story about the hat....I was waiting to get into Hollywood Studios one morning and the teen/young adult girls behind me in line were having an argument about the Chinese Theater. They couldn't agree if it had always been there. One girl was adamant that it was new and just built! I was about the end their amusing argument when they asked the cast member nearby to tell them who was right.
The hat was indeed HUGE, and the state and plants blocked the entire view.
So no surprise they never noticed the building behind it.
It took me a bit to notice it.

I just waited for the mud to dry, and then swept it up.
Yes, cats barf a lot. These ones especially, as they not only groom themselves, they groom each other.

(On the plus side, I heard the heaving the second it started, and was able to steer Max off of the carpet and on to the linoleum.)

(On the double plus side, at least it wasn't 5:30 in the morning and me stepping in it with bare feet. )

From a brief search I just did, apparently there is some candy still made in the U.S. by Hershey, as well as some made in Mexico. What I can tell you, first-hand, is that when I have looked at bags of candy in my supermaket, in Walgreens, and in Target (in my area), I can't tell you the number of bags of different kinds of chocolate candy that clearly say, Made in Mexico. A number of popular classics such as Reeses Peanut Butter Cups can now be made in Mexico (I noticed this last October when I bought some bags for the Halloween kids that trick or treat). Now, I don't know if this is a regional distribution area for candy made outside of the U.S.; but if you're curious, maybe do a spot check in your stores as well. (Note: Russell Stover and Ghiradelli are made in U.S., and I haven't seen anything other than that.)

My favorite candy is made locally in MA, and sometimes I go to their candy store, just one town away. :hungry:
Just clarifying that "all made in Mexico" is incorrect. There is a huge plant in Hershey and another one not far from there in Lancaster. I've been past both. The Hershey plant still makes chocolates and Reese's. I just did a spot check of my Reese's egg wrapper (which is peanut butter goodness) and it does not say Made in Mexico.

The Fan ny May/Harry London chocolate factory is a half-hour from me. For the record, my favorite candy is made in Baltimore, Maryland, in the good ol' U.S. of A. Goetze's caramel creams.
