This is actually NOT true. There is a plant in Mexico yes but there are still plants in Pennsylvania churning out candy. The "all Hershey made in Mexico" was an internet rumor and people believed it...because it's on the internet, it must be true. ;)

From a brief search I just did, apparently there is some candy still made in the U.S. by Hershey, as well as some made in Mexico. What I can tell you, first-hand, is that when I have looked at bags of candy in my supermaket, in Walgreens, and in Target (in my area), I can't tell you the number of bags of different kinds of chocolate candy that clearly say, Made in Mexico. A number of popular classics such as Reeses Peanut Butter Cups can now be made in Mexico (I noticed this last October when I bought some bags for the Halloween kids that trick or treat). Now, I don't know if this is a regional distribution area for candy made outside of the U.S.; but if you're curious, maybe do a spot check in your stores as well. (Note: Russell Stover and Ghiradelli are made in U.S., and I haven't seen anything other than that.)

My favorite candy is made locally in MA, and sometimes I go to their candy store, just one town away. :hungry:

no, but my uncles were in a more dangerous evacuation area. thanks god it didnt went as bad as they were expecting..
The flooding didn't reach the area I live (we're around 2-3 miles from the river)
most of the flooding went the other side of the river.

but the water DID REACH the border of a few housing areas away from us. managed to flood some important avenues but nothing serious.

The real danger was the bridges falling, since they are the only main connections between Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta.
The other connections are thru the mountains, slow and dangerous roads.
And the connections between the towns would be via boats and ferries. Pretty much disrupting everything.

heres an article and a video of the flooding and the damage to a bridge that failed upriver (in another town)
there is no video or photos of the other bridge that fell.

Flooding is extremely disruptive on many levels. I think it sounds like you may be o.k. though, and let's hope the waters subside, and life can get back to normal. I did click on the article you posted, but I can't read the language. Still wanted to thank you for sharing it. The short video clip illustrated just how expansive the flooded area is. Hopefully, your bridges will stay intact.

I have one long strip that actually looks like a gator, right down to a gator mouth and eye. Pretty funny.

Still 2-3 feet in the backyard. This past week, there has been a lot of melting all over; seems like the backyard is behind the rest of the area. There is so much snow out there, and the nice thing is that it's all undisturbed, so it's still attractive, like a post card. :)

Thank you! :) These are great animal pictures (actually, all of the pictures you posted are wonderful)! I'm so glad you had fun on your vacation, and have such a good "eye" for photography.

Thanks! I have an average camera as the DSLR's are too big for me, I don't want to carry that around. I just like to take pictures, especially at Disney. Most everything is so pretty there.

Oh no! I will just say I live in Northern Wisconsin and all our snow is gone. Just a couple big piles on the edges of parking lots. I noticed some of my little purple spring flowers starting to come up today.

Are the purple spring flowers, crocuses? My father used to plant those, and they were always the first flowers that came up in spring (sometimes, they'd even sprout up in a little snow cover over them--they were hearty little buggers, and pretty too!) :D

@ajrwdwgirl , I also want to thank you for not bringing/using a selfie stick to have your picture taken at DHS! My gosh, you must have actually asked some kind person to take that lovely picture of you with the gorgeous, unobstructed Chinese Theater behind you! I'd say that is a double win!! :joyfull:

I did not bring a selfie stick. I did see some people using them though but it wasn't obnoxious or in people's way. I usually asked the photopass photographers to take my picture, or other cast members. Sometimes I would ask a random guest or offer to take a picture of someone and have them take my pictures. I took a couple selfies (which I don't always like because I like to have more background in my pictures) and I got better at taking them as the days went on.

And I will say it was FANTASTIC not to have the hat at Hollywood Studios anymore. I wasn't necessarily anti-hat, I just thought it was in the wrong place.

Oh quick story about the hat....I was waiting to get into Hollywood Studios one morning and the teen/young adult girls behind me in line were having an argument about the Chinese Theater. They couldn't agree if it had always been there. One girl was adamant that it was new and just built! I was about the end their amusing argument when they asked the cast member nearby to tell them who was right.

I think they might be crocuses. They are planted in a raised bed near the house so the ground unfreezes first and the flowers come up faster. I just can't wait until my daffodils and tulips come up. Daffodils are my second favorite flower, peonies are my first. I had peonies in my wedding bouquet, it was my favorite decoration at my wedding, that and my cake that had a Mickey & Minnie cake topper and swirled hidden Mickeys in the icing (the cake decorator did that on her own which was a cool surprise).

Wow. I love the design of your wedding cake--very cheerful and appropriate! The cake decorator went above and beyond with the hidden Mickeys swirled in the icing--clever!! ;)

Went to relax at the Might Ducks pool for two reasons, it was closer to my room and because as I was walking past the Fantasia pool they closed it for "biological" reasons!
