Curious: what does that do? The spiciness is all through her chili.

I mix the sour cream in and the cream calms the spice down. I suppose it is like if she added milk. I would add it to the whole pot but hubs doesn't like sour cream. After your question I was curious if there was a more scientific answer and there were some articles about how to make things less spicy, here is a link to one.

They will love you for that. Our IT guys are always doing similar things and often creating screen shots to help people understand some programs. We all love it when they do that.
Yeah. Usually, people are grateful. Today, however, I got asked for the status of a purchase req. I checked it, sent him the status and sent a guide for how to check it himself. He said he normally would even though it is "torture" (FYI, it's really not that hard...) and that he needed my help because it was urgent. I didn't reply to the email and instead mentioned it to my boss, who then had me forward her the chain. Then, I guess when I ignored him, he sent an email to my boss saying I "wasn't willing to help". My boss already had the email chain and sided with me.

Sometimes, people react differently from what we expect. My own boss is very high maintenance (in certain areas). Since I can "read" that emotion (from the person who authorizes my pay every week), I just brush off whatever help document has been given, and I do an in-person help session. That always works.

There are some people that need someone to hold their hand in specific situations--even some otherwise highly qualified, professionals in their field. I'm always cautious with sr. management in particular, and don't want it to come back on me that I wasn't being helpful with a problem (when I know quite well that they are certainly able to fix the issue themselves). But that's not the point . . . ;)

This year at school I took over the Middle School Quiz Bowl team and we had our competition today. The competition is online and was done in my classroom, we won't know our ranking until the testing window ends on Friday but they did pretty well in my opinion. It was fun watching them get so excited about it. There were two Disney related questions. The first was about Mickey Mouse and what was his original name and the second was which room do Woody, Buzz & the gang live. When the Mickey Mouse question came up, all the kids turned an looked at me! I couldn't help them but I was DYING too! They did get it correct and the Toy Story one too, so maybe I am teaching them something....;)

It looks nice. I do know a little about craft items and Christmas Wreaths since my mom used to have a booth at a craft fair. One of the items my Mom used to sell was My Christmas wreaths, but it was the floral design style.

My mom does floral design as a hobby and only did one craft fair a year before this year. My mom used to be at a November holiday craft fair before Thanksgiving. The place she sold her stuff decided to not to have a craft fair this year. People wanted my mom to do my craft fairs a year, but refused. My mom only did one craft a fair a year due to her medical condition. She has fibromyalgia and it does affect her despite taking medication.

After my younger graduated in high school, my mom decided to take floral design classes at a technical college. That is how my mom got into floral design.

What a cool story. I love when 'big' people develop interests when their families are complete and launch their life's in creative ways. They always become some of the most interesting people to interact with.
