Bittersweet Last game of the outdoor season

Won this morning, tied this evening

Side note, this opposing team had a group of obnoxious parents. Not all, about 3-5. The ref ended up giving two warnings.. she could have given more. If I was the coach of that team, I would have ejected the parents. It was ridiculous. Horrible display of unsportsmanlike conduct, horrible example for the kids!!

Oh and I took this pic too quickly.. missed T doing a Maradona a second later.. thought I was recording. :( He didn’t score today, but played well and had some great saves in goal! It was a good end of the season regardless of his disappointment over not scoring.

So I cut contact with my immediate family a few months ago due to being a scapegoat in a toxic environment. My dad died February of 2017, and I just found out through one of my aunts that my mom has up and suddenly became engaged to a man she had supposedly known her whole life...news to me, I don't know who this guy is...and is getting married to him this coming Saturday. On top of that, I was also told that she has cancer.

My mother is the main reason I have cut contact, very narcissistic. But I don't know how to feel right now. I have blocked her on FB and my phone because I wanted no contact because of the constant damage and fall I was always taking.

I do have support here with my DH and his family, but I am reaching out to see if anyone out there has been through something similar and can maybe offer some advice. I am not going back to contact but I need help and guidance for myself. What do I do? I do have an option this Saturday to go help my DH's family with yard work and that is possibly the best things to do this weekend, but other than that...

I am just feeling at a complete loss.

That's a really tough situation. I'm sorry I can't help, I'm sure you will make the right decision for yourself.

We didn't have any B. F. stores around here, so Woolworth's (and Kresge's--which I think turned into KMart) were in this area. They were just fun--not high end stuff or anything.

When we lived in No Cal, I remember Ben Franklin, K-Mart, Montgomery (Monkey ;)) Wards, Mervyn’s, and, of course, Sears and JCPenny.
And, back here in Texas, we had/still have K-Mart, “Monkey” Wards, Woolworth, Woolco, Bealls, Dillard’s, Joske’s, Burlington, Kohl’s, and, of course, Sears, JCPenny, and Wal-Mart.
And, I’m sure I’m forgettin’ some others...
