What a great way to celebrate your birthday! Happy Birthday 🎉🎊🎂!

Indeed!!!!! And, thank you very much...!!! :)

I forgot to mention, there was cake, but, they were runnin’ late for step mom/MILs surprise b-day party, so I told them to just leave it in the fridge and bring it to my folks tomorrow for scheduled further celebrating! So many October birthdays in our family, and now we have another one...!!!!! :hilarious:
We’re due at my folks around 3:30-ish, after my office Family Fun Day from 1-3p, which all but DG and her folks will make this year...
A busy last part of the weekend, but, I’m OK with that...!!! :)

That would drive me nuts. I'm am very punctual and always early for everything. If I'm just on time, I feel like I'm running late. I hate showing up late at something. Once in college I was about 5 minutes late for my class and since I hate walking into places late I just sat outside the door and listened to the lecture. It was a big class and attendance was never taken, so it didn't impact my grade at all. I was also about 2 minutes late once meeting up with a friend, and she called me because she was so concerned that I hadn't arrived early like usual.

Yep, same here. I always try to be at least 5 mins., or more, early.
The term “fashionably late” has always gotten one of these  from me.

Sometimes I still miss Blackberry. I remember when they first came out and how excited I was.. then years later I remember camping out (at the mall) for the first iPhone. I couldn’t part with my blackberry due to work.. so for a few years I had both.. then eventually Apple took over corporate world and RIM never recovered, so I parted with a Blackberry.. iPhone has never had something as cool as BBM and Brickbreaker though!

Wow, I’m old.

I still have my old Crackberry Torch. Before that, I had an LG Shine.
The Crackberry’s as dead as a door nail now, but, there’s still a bunch of old pics I need to get off of it...now, if I could only find the cord..... :cyclops:

Happy birthday! Is that wine pretty popular in your area? I was just reading on someone's trip report that they had gotten some, and I had never heard of it before, but it sounded like it was a pretty big deal.

See, I think part of the pet peeve I have with people being late is because my brother is always running late for anything that involves both of us. He can be on time to work, he can be on time to an event, he can be on time for things like flight check-in or whatever, but if he's meeting up with me, he's going to be late. And to me that says "You're just not as important to me" and it seems so rude and disrespectful to me. And I know it's because he likes to feel like he's the one in control/calling the shots. He doesn't want to give his little sister the impression that she has any sort of say in things. But then he is FURIOUS if he's running late and I just say "I'll meet you there" or "I'm leaving in 5 minutes whether you're ready or not". If you don't want me to take charge, be on time! "Fashionably late" does not exist, in my opinion....that's just code for "I want everyone to notice me when I arrive."
