Do what makes you happy! 😉
I'm kind of thinking of just not going. The entire time I think I'd be thinking about how my friend bailed on me. Plus, my dad is super irritating to share a room with.

On the other hand, my mom will be angry if I don't go. Kind of wish I had another friend who could go, but my usual default travel buddy can't. She's going on a trip to Thailand for a few months to do some volunteer medical work. Awesome for her...but anyway.

She really didn't. She budgeted correctly, did something stupid with her money, and now can't afford it, and then cancelled and told me about it two days later via text. Remember what I said about my low tolerance for stupidity? It's coming into play right about now...

They actually don't pay for my AP. I pay for that. I just use the DVC discount. I'm just really tired of sharing a space with my dad. Last February, we fought so much that it almost wasn't worth it. August we had less trouble, I think because my brother and I went off on our own during the day.

Just kind of to the point that I don't want to go with them...
What dates are you looking into?

Awww good luck with your decision. I cannot go with my Mom. She would drive me nuts. She acts like I am 10 sometimes.🙄

I made vegan ricotta for the first time. It was so good. I made a spaghetti squash lasagna with it. @figmentfan423 I am sure you already have a recipe, but @dryerlintfan here it is. https://minimalistbaker.com/whipped-almond-ricotta-5-ingredients/ I used blanched almond flour instead of sliced almonds. It worked just fine. Roasted the spaghetti squash and just layered it with sauce and the almond ricotta. My dh who is not a fan of spaghetti squash loved it. My youngest who loves cheese said it was weird that it was made from almonds, but it tasted really good.
That actually sounds really good...I wonder what the result would be if you substituted zucchini instead of squash, since squash is not usually available here...

Sympathies. Hubs does that all the time. I have some pepperoni wrapped cheese sticks in the refrigerator and I went to get one the other day and they were all gone. When I asked him if he ate them he said no. What?! I didn't finish them off and I know the dog didn't open the refrigerator and the drawer they were in. It just irritated me, if he ate them fine but own up to it and write it on the grocery list.

By the way the chocolate ice cream with cookie dough sounds pretty amazing to me. I might have had him go to the store to get me more!
I would have made him go to the grocery store, but it was already closed. That's what upset me...he waited until I couldn't get more and then finished it off. It was a sale that was only until that day, and the store is only open for 5 hours on Sundays. That ice cream was in the freezer for almost a week if he had wanted to try it.
My husband blames things like your cheese sticks on "Leprechauns". "I tried to fight them off, but there were just too many of them and they ate it ALL."

It's a guy thing. The other day: Hubs, "Is there any foil?" Me: "I recall I saw you wrapping some food in foil Tuesday night--did you use any more since then?" Hubs, "No." Me: "So . . . did you use the end of it on Tuesday?" Hubs, "Yah, I guess. Do we have any foil?" :banghead:

I went grocery shopping Saturday morning (as I always do). Someone didn't tell me we were out of foil, when I could have easily picked up a box . . . and yet he just assumes there was more . . . )
Ah, see this is why I always keep an extra of certain things...especially things I don't use myself, like mayo. Because no one tells me when they finish a jar, but they expect there to be more waiting. And foil....everyone seems to be allergic to replacing the roll. I always have a spare roll in the cupboard, but people finish it and leave it empty until I need it and have to replace it myself.

So Saturday, we wanted to go pumpkin picking. We went to a Mennonite run garden center because they usually sell baked goods that the kids enjoy. We got there about 1:30/2pm. They had a small display of pumpkins and no baked goods, Apparently we were late to the pumpkin picking party. Well, we took the drive and decided to go into their greenhouses. They did have some amazingly huge mums for only $6.99. They were 3 times the size of what the supermarket was selling for $4.99, so we bought 3. We also bought a pretty daisy plant, which we have since put in our house. Well, then I suggested going to a farm where youngest's cheer team and the other teams are going for a team bonding experience. When we got their it was packed. No room to park, and the fields were muddy looking. For this place they had no pre-picked pumpkins you could choose from. You had to pay for a wagon ride in order to go into the field and get your own. That is normally fun, but not when it had been raining every other day for months. So, then we decided to go to a farm we had gone to 2 years ago that had had loads of pre-picked pumpkins and local goods. It was 30 minutes from where we were. We got there and unbelievably there was an auction sign on the property! The farm had gone out of business!:( We ended up going to a Mennonite grocery store/ garden center that we had passed on the way. They had plenty of pumpkins and lots of local baked/ cooked items. We got there at 3:50pm. They closed at 4. Dh was like, "It is really carpy to show up to a store right when they want to close". I agreed, but after driving for almost 2 and half hours for some stupid pumpkins, I said that I didn't care and we would be quick, which we were. So, I considered that a very wasted afternoon that I will never get back.
Wow....what a day!! I think I'd be crawling back into my pjs when I got home.

Ha. That's my dad. I'll be reading in the room at night. He comes in, flicks out the light without warning, and then tells you to go to sleep. So sometimes I'll go to the bathroom to read a book. And then he comes in there and yells at me to go to bed. I'm like, how old am I again?

Their house their rules I suppose is what my dad would say (and I'm 48) When you move out, you can go to bed when you want!

You could do it with zucchini, I guess. The texture is different. You could use it with pasta also, like a dairy free baked ziti The almond ricotta worked really well for the eggplant rollatini.:hungry:

He sounds a tad (sarcasm) controlling. Guess he does forget how old you are. As parents, your kids will always be kids. It is hard on the kids that are adults, but I kind of get it.
