So, 2 Saturday mornings ago I walked out to my car and noticed the rear passenger-side tire was half flat. Checked it out, and sure ‘nuff, a small trim nail bent over on the top, right in the tread (fortunately, not the sidewall). Also, fortunately, Discount tire fixes flats for free, even if you didn’t buy the tire from them, which in this case we hadn’t, as the rear tires are 2 of the original tires that came with the car. I never had to take the tire off the car, and the tire was fixed for free...***BOOM***!!!!! :hilarious:

Fast forward to this morning...
I walk out to my ride to head to the office and notice my drivers-side front tire is half flat...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:
After inspecting it, I didn’t see anything at first, but, then rolled the car back to find a screw...again, fortunately in the tread and not the sidewall...!!! :)
I drug out the compressor and got the tire good and set up, then promptly headed to Discount Tire again...!!! :)
Even if the tire would have been unrepairable, they would have just slapped a new one on for free, as the 2 front tires were recently purchased from them, and still under warranty...again...***BOOM***...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:;):)

Bonus...
I was the second person in line at 7:28a (they open at 8a), they had me out of there by 8:26a, and, somehow, I got to the office and was clocked in by 9:01a, just in time for our Monday morning meeting...!!! :)

So my question is this: why do you keep driving over nails? :p

@Goofyernmost I know you said you were going to wait until tomorrow to worry about the storm but PLEASE WORRY TODAY! This goes for @StarWarsGirl and @Dead2009 and @93boomer. Also @MySmallWorldof4, @dryerlintfan and @21stamps you need to keep an eye on it as well. This storm looks dangerous even way outside of the direct impact areas with damage including but not limited to flooding, wind and tornados. Please take whatever precautions are needed and stock up on at least a week's worth of food and water as the distribution of food and other essentials will most likely be interrupted even outside of areas that take damage. Prayers and pixie dust for all in it's path

I will have to look at projections now. I saw last night they have it hitting probably by me maybe Sunday or late Saturday night. These are the times I love being on the top of a hill.

In your case it would be a chance of a power outage or stores running out of things. I grabbed a few extra things yesterday that my stores tend to run low on just in case. Not milk milk for one, my area doesn't flood but some roads on the way to some stores do

Too early to tell what the impact here will be other than rain and lots of it. We're keeping an eye on it.

My preparation plans include going to the doctor to get my migraine meds changed.:banghead:

Amen. It is not to be taken lightly! This one is going to be bad. If you need water and staples, go now. My DD said shelves were already empty including generators last night. Crews are preparing now to be ready to help in the affected areas. Prayers for all in its path.
