Fountain Square is our city icon., it’s just such a busy place, truly our city center. The police responded almost immediately after the shooter opened fire, I can’t even imagine how many lives they saved.
I think it has everyone here a little shaken up, but at the same time, so amazingly proud of our first responders and our city. There was a beautiful get together on the square yesterday, I wasn’t able to make it, but several friends and family went. So nice to see the city come together.
This is us at Fountain Square in July, the words below are so true.. :)

I’m sorry that your area has suffered tragedy as well. First responders so often go unappreciated, it’s definitely important to acknowledge their courage. I hope they do get some comfort and realize how appreciated they are.

Sorry, I tend to stay detached from a lot of news lately (several years now, actually), just now saw your post, and had to google.
So sorry to hear about this, but, glad the city has rallied.
Prayers to all affected.

Parking will get you. It's at least $15 to park down in Baltimore. The Ravens dropped their concession prices this year, thank goodness. More reasonable.

As mentioned, I don't follow football, but your $15 to park at your stadium sounded very low to me. I just looked up Gillette in MA and it's $40 per car. And at the TD Garden in Boston (Celtics, Bruins) the rate if $50 for event parking ($75, if you lose your ticket . . . LOL ... :p ).

So glad I never was interested in team sports! (Then again, even if I was, I'd only take public transportation to these places--costs a fraction of the price.)

We had a Mickey toaster until recently. We bought it 3 years ago and it worked really well and then it just clunked out. Hubs ordered another one on Amazon and it toasted 2 pieces of bread and now it won't work. The place on Amazon refuses to take it back. I told hubs to write customer service and he said he would but it is still sitting in his office. But the first one worked decently for quite awhile. But now we have a plain old Sunbeam toaster.
Sympathy like. Even we get longer out of a toaster. Oh wait I have a convection oven/toaster because it's a multi tasker and built for a busier kitchen. You may want to look into one of those.

I'm going to do something I haven't done in forever, make German food. I'm slow roasting pork with apples and onions, green beans with bacon, sautéed cabbage, 2 different types of potatoes, salad with dill dressing and chocolate muffins. Anything not to have to have the heat on:banghead:
