It isn't a limb. It is real music. DS is jazz 24/7. Has been since eighth grade. He didn't listen to much before that. Guess nothing else really tickled his fancy.

DD plays trombone, and I am pretty sure it is hard and she takes quite a ribbing for playing one. During half time last year, I was standing behind a "grown up" who thought it was pretty hilarious that the pom girl ( she runs from poms to her position for half time, and is one of three pom outfits in a sea of marching band uniforms) was playing trombone.
I told him that is my daughter, and she can play most of the other trombone players on that field under the table. He shut up. If a grown up can be like that, I can just imagine what she hears from other students. So, when she gets to see someone like Trombone Shorty, who makes trombone the coolest thing ever, and can play it like that, it helps. It also helps that for 8th grade jazz band, their main song that year was Backatown.
I think it is wonderful that your dd loves playing trombone. You wouldn't think adults would be so rude. Good thing you told him off.

A busy last 2 days. We went to Hershey Gardens and then Chocolate World yesterday with the cousins and sister-in-law. Then the drive home which should have taken one hour took 2. We finished up the last of the craft fair products by 9 last night, and this morning at 6:30 we were on our way to sell dd's homemade wares. There were loads of kids selling. So many were selling slime. There was a Mennonite kid next to us selling homemade pens and salt and pepper shakers. They were really cool looking. He used a lathe to make them. There were baked goods, jewelry, photographs, stress balls, pillows, etc. I was impressed with what the kids had. DD pretty much sold all of her slimes. We had to remove 10 that were turning to gluey because of the heat. They were a clear slime and are temperamental apparently. This other one she made last minute yesterday sold the best. She sold 6 of the scrunchies as well. What I thought was amazing was how crazy kids are after slime. Two kids that were selling slime came to her table and bought her slime. One girl was given a choice of slime or the hair tie and she chose slime. I just don't get it. I guess I forget that kids and practicality don't go together.:hilarious: I will post some pictures of yesterday and today in a bit. Have to catch up on housework. Oh and youngest has a tag sale in less than 2 hours. for her cheer team Busy few days.

Oh forgot to say that dd made $59. Youngest was with us and the little stinker wanted to be paid for her time. She said she wrote down the orders and bagged, and she handled some transactions. I offered her $10, and she said $25. :hilarious: I told her $10 and a milkshake. She wasn't thrilled, but realized she had no choice.
When my kids help with craft fairs they get dinner;)

Decided that Belle can join in bath time all she wants until she falls in and figures out she really doesn't want to be here while I'm taking a bath.

Thinking it worked since she was walking along the edge, slipped, and ended up with both left paws on my leg and the right ones on the ledge. It was fun watching herself get out of that one, and now she's grooming because she didn't stay dry. :hilarious:
