I loved WOM. For some reason, that one really stands out to me, from the first time I went to WDW with my mother (God rest her soul). Her spontaneous expressions of wonderment and fun rubbed off on me, as well. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for that attraction.

Yes, that ride was classic EPCOT Center ;)...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
I remember riding it on our honeymoon way back in ‘88...!!!!! :)
Pretty sure drivers haven’t gotten any better since...actually, I’m gonna’ go with worse...!!! ;)

The problem with that is that the "O" almost never "GO" no matter how much they get cheered on.
Just messing with you. Not being a baseball fan myself I really cannot relate to any sport at all. They all represent a certain city or state, but, almost none of them are actually from those cities or states, so what brings on the loyalty. As a kid I was a Yankee fan but that was when baseball players were really baseball players. Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra and the rest. They played every game (Mickey was known to play with bandages on his legs) Whitey Ford pitched almost every game and stay in the entire time, no relief pitcher. He batted all the time as well. They made very little money and loved the game for the game itself. Those guys I could get behind and cheer on to Victory, which they almost always did. Modern day teams do nothing for me.

I got an email this morning that my mom's cousin, who sang at my wedding, past away last Tuesday. She was 80, so she had a good long life, but it makes me sad. She and my mom were about 6 months apart in age and they grew up like sisters. She was so much fun. She had no kids of her own and she was scheduled to have heart surgery on Friday, but she didn't make it and died alone. It breaks my heart.

In positive news, my cousin (brother to the one going to Disney with us) was able to stand up on his own this weekend. I don't know if I mentioned it, but he was in a mountain biking accident and has a severe spinal injury. They didn't think he'd ever walk or talk again. 2 months later and he was able to stand. He's not walking on his own yet, but the fact that he can breathe on his own, swallow, and was able to lift his hand up are all good signs that he is surpassing expectations. He is very outdoorsy and goes hiking, skiing, mountain biking, etc....so he was in really good shape when he had the accident. I'm betting that helped.

I'm sorry. :( Hope she lead a happy life.

And good news indeed for your cousin. His strides towards recovery are awesome news.

My DD lives for Mathematics. Math and Statistics major for her Undergrad. I can't even wrap my brain around her Masters Program in Computer Science Engineering and focusing on Data Analytics for coding/programming to create software for data reconfiguration analysis. Understand why I can't even wrap my brain around it?
I thought Python was a snake. :cautious:

Nope. We usually do not "go" this season. :hilarious: Except tonight we did!
Tis better to not cheer than to cheer for the Yankees.
Although Yogi Berra is very quoteable.

I second that. I was a Met fan growing up.

We bleed Cubby Blue here, can't see that ever changing. It was quite the week when they won the world series a few years back. This is very similar to one of my sons shirts. His is on a polo with it in the upper front corner of his shirt. Love it. (obviously the one on left)

We have friends who are Cubs fans. Originally from Chicago. They also are O's fans since it's rare for the Cubs and O's to meet, so sometimes we'll run into them at the game and they've got both Cubs and O's gear on.

IT life...I understood what you just said. :cautious:

Figures, :hilarious: I learned that much just to answer people what her focus of computer engineering degree was going to be in, It 'till she pounded that into my noggin was my response was huh. Honestly it makes my brain go PING.

She won a scholarship to attend a conference with beyond awesome keynotes, Ray, Goodhart, Leung, Muglia, Wray, Bhambhri,
And Dubner and several more. I’m sure you are familiar with most being a Business Major along with your IT background. Me I had heard of the Classic Freakonomics dudes. I’m so excited for her.

I think the loyalty of Chicago comes from very old teams engrained in the fabric of original large urban areas. My FIL a man that never missed a game passed away before they ever won a series. Dang Goat.

It's actually pretty simple. Companies need software to understand their data Software exists that works with data, configuring it and presenting it in a readable form. Tableau is a good example. It helps users analyze and display data. Excel is another example, and there are tons of add-ins to Excel to perform various analyses (and some of them are :greedy:). Someone has to program those pieces of software. Hence where your DD comes in. She'll specialize in developing these programs.

While us non-IT people who work in IT learn IT speak and translate it to English. :hilarious:

Better. I will pretend that is English. *sigh*

I am in awe of women like you and my DD with the wherewithal to use every bit of brain matter God gave you. Blessed. Every generation becomes more welcoming for women to become more. I am proud of the ambition you have. You go girl.
