On the ‘tv changing’ note, I feel the same way about radio. Does anyone remember the George Michael song “I want your s**”?

I was a George Michael fan, and remember when that song was a huge controversy, eventually banned from radio stations. So crazy how much times have changed.

We love the store all for different reasons from the culture to anime to housewares and saki tasting:hungry: My grandparents had a saki they liked but as for me:hungover::hungover::hungover::hungover: It must have been cooking grade!
The housewares are so cute, but I never bought anything there for the house. The kids on the other hand have gotten some things like stuffed animals, and Japanese soda.

I had a Japanese roommate in my early 20s.. he would go food shopping at a Japan deli close to our apartment.. always picked up some Plum Wine for me. I love it! I like saki, but not as much as plum wine.
What I didn’t love is - sometimes he would cook eel.. it was the worst thing ever.:depressed:
However, he made the most perfect rice, and would help me roll when I made Golabki.. shaved about an hour off my prep time, and his rolls were always so much neater than mine. Lol

That song wasn't banned in NY. I think when that song plays on XM80's and kids are in the car I change it.:hilarious: I'm Your Man by Wham is on my Google Play. I never thought of the words much when I was younger, but being a parent I think too much so I may change that song when they are in the car too. Such a good song though. I loved Wham!. They had loads of great songs.

Ugh. This name hurts my brain. My child will never forgive me for not downloading Pokémon Go.. and Kings Island had a “limited edition” Pokémon caramel apple.. for $13.99..I always said “next time we’re here”. Then, when I agreed to get one, the limited time was over.

I’ll never live that down.
My boys are into the more classic Pokémon so no Pokémon go for them:joyfull:

They really did.
“Wake Me Up (before I go)” is one of my favorite songs to dance to on Just Dance. Lol
That is too much money for caramel apple.

Right?! I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Finally gave in as a reward for something, tried to anyway. He was so upset when we arrived and it was gone. Every single time we’re in that store he says “Remember when you promised I could have a Pokémon apple?”
He’ll never forget it :cautious:

In 10 minutes my daughter and I are heading out on a 2 hr 40 minute road trip to Lancaster County PA. First stop Katie's Amish Kitchen Restaurant. 2nd stop is the real reason we are going. My daughter will have her first of many future college tours. The next two will be in early November. Today we will be touring Lancaster Bible College. Tour starts at 1PM. Done at 3PM.
It's raining here so we are gonna leave here momentarily so I can take my time on the road. I'll report back later.

Have a great trip! I don't remember going on college tours when I was in 11th grade. That seems to be more of a thing now.
