Me: Bear, if we eat here we won't make it to ballet on time...
A: *screaming* I WANT TO EAT HERE IN THIS CHAIR RIGHT HERE!!
Me: Okay. But then we'll miss ballet and you'll be sad. You've been looking forward to this all week.
A: But i want to eat here and play again!!
Chick-fil-A cow: *walks jovially onto dining floor, swivels creepy head, locks eyes on A and starts walking toward her*
A: I WANT TO GO!! I WANT TO GO TO THE CAR!! I WANT TO LEAVE!!!

Thanks creepy cow, for helping us make it to ballet on time :hilarious::hilarious:

An update on the tax on clothing discussion yesterday, for any geeks out there -- :geek:
Decided to look up the MA sales tax guidelines for clothing. Any individual piece of clothing that is over $175 gets taxed at 6.25% (above the $175 level only, not the entire price of the garment).
Are you saying that if an item costs $200 then you will be taxed on $25. Still seems ridiculous and probably unfair to men who need to wear suits to work. Why can’t all clothing be tax free? I guess a lot of people may go into NH to pick up the more expensive items?

If you would be buying a “chip” flavor, then yes. I ship a few pints of Mint Chocolate Chip to a friend in FL every Christmas. (I’ve never tasted one even close to as good, same with the raspberry) If it’s not a chip flavor then I agree with @dryerlintfan, not ship across the country good, but must do in an area with a Graeters.

I’d love if we had a Kilwins in my area.. they have the best pistachio ice cream imo.
Oh yum...Kilwins!! When I was in college, we used to drive down to Fort Collins, Colorado...it was only just over an hour drive, and we'd eat at Bisetti's. It was the best Italian food I've ever had. It was owned by an Italian couple who immigrated to the US and they opened their restaurant using authentic recipes....you couldn't make a bad choice there. And it was next door to a Kilwins. So we'd go to Kilwins and get a ton of fudge to take home and then go eat at Bisetti's. We had to do Kilwins first because after Bisetti's we were stuffed and couldn't even LOOK at food. Oh how I miss those days. Whenever we go back "home", we make a trip to Fort Collins.

She set the whole thing up last weekend. Civil service and sandwiches at somebody else's house after. I didn't help her out. She had money for electronics and a vacation that month so I was not helping. She's also complaining that one of my steps isn't going due to a sick kid. Wanted to know why the kid couldn't go to a sitter. I think my moms are going down the shore:D
jeez....entitled much? Please tell me you did not go and did not send money!! You can buy something small online and have it sent directly to her if you feel the need, but it sounds like she is inviting people because she wants money. I'm reminded of @ajrwdwgirl 's niece and the graduation where they said people didn't give enough money. You are under no obligation to pay her bills!

We hardly ever ride Splash Mt because we hate getting wet on rides, especially our shorts. We can tolerate it a little on our shirts or hair. So when we had our Frontierland Friday on a couple Fridays ago we knew we had to go on Splash Mt to make sure we did everything in Frontierland, so we wrapped our bottom half in a cheap poncho as we got onto the ride and luckily that part stayed dry as did our shoes. But a fully body Ziploc poncho with just our heads sticking out would have been better, and funnier!
Oh man, if it's hot out, I LOVE to get soaked on the water rides. The only problem is if you have a meal planned in an overly-air-conditioned restaurant before you are dry. When we were in Germany, we got SOAKED on a kali River Rapids-like ride and it felt so good! (Pictures to come later, after I'm ketchupped)

Wisconsin has sales tax on clothes, so since I live close to the Minnesota border and MN doesn't have tax on clothes that is where I buy my clothes. Decent clothes stores are about 40-45 minutes from my house in both directions, so I choose the Minnesota direction.

Will anyone on this forum admit to still eating "kid's" cereal? I like many of them, but one of my favorites is Captain Crunch. My local supermarket was having a sale that I couldn't pass up. Captain Crunch for $1.99 each....but you must buy 3 to get that price.View attachment 299329
I do, when I can get it!! We don't have much in the line of cereal here. Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch was always my favorite, so I always get a box when we go to the US. I found Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Golden Grahams in Germany, and a discount store had cocoa puffs a few weeks back. But, I don't splurge often. It's a special treat when I do.

Wait, what? What did I miss?? Is everything ok?
He was diagnosed quite some time ago and I was off the boards for bit because, one of my moms also had a health issue(much better now), it was also around the time my MIL had a hip replacement and my boys crazy schedules life was too hectic and my head was elsewhere. He started doing much better and was considered in remission his doctor found another cancer later that was unrelated and not serious as it's very slow growing but because he had a pervious problem everybody here was quite worried. I don't think I did an update in forever because there wasn't much to report. Basically something else will get him first and with luck many years from now.

Ha ha. I didn’t know either! I haven’t had a chance to watch the videos yet.

A cousin of mine lived in NYC for several years before she died.. from the time I was little she always bought soundtrack to musicals, sheet music, and books (not related to musicals) for my birthdays and Christmas presents. (Because of her, I read Jane Eyre when I was 10 years old and instantly fell in love with it.lol.) Once i was 13 and over I’d go stay with her sometimes and we’d always see a show on Broadway, and eventually off broadway ones as well

Back to the point., she gifted me with my first Andrew Lloyd Webber compilation TAPE(showing my age here too 😂) when I was little.,, it had Starlight Express, Phantom, Cats etc.. even Requiem which is still one of my favorite sheets to play. I begged my parents to take me to all of them, before then they left me home during most of their theater nights unless musicals geared more to kids. :(;)
I had a Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber cassette when I was a teen and I used to sit in my room and blast it and sing along. While everyone else was blasting ACDC and Kiss and Guns and Roses, Metalica....I was blasting Andrew Lloyd Webber.
